🇪🇺📉 Die Chatkontrolle kommt. Kein guter Tag für Freiheit und Bürgerrechte. Noch im März scheiterte ein Antrag im Europäischen Parlament. Jetzt wurde kurz vor der Sommerpause erneut abgestimmt, allerdings unter anderen Abstimmungsregeln. Da es sich um einen Vorschlag des EU Rates handelt, reichte diesmal keine Mehrheit der anwesenden Abgeordneten aus. Für eine Ablehnung wären 360 Stimmen, also die absolute Mehrheit aller Abgeordneten, erforderlich gewesen, es waren allerdings nur rund 600 Abgeordnete vor Ort. Am letzten Sitzungstag vor der Sommerpause sind natürlich zahlreiche Abgeordnete bereits abgereist oder nicht anwesend. Fehlende Stimmen wirkten dadurch faktisch zugunsten der Chatkontrolle, weil sie das Erreichen der hohen Hürde für eine Ablehnung erschwerten. Das Ergebnis: Obwohl eine Mehrheit der anwesenden Abgeordneten erst gegen die Chatkontrolle war, wurde der Ablehnungsantrag nicht angenommen. Unabhängig davon, wie man zur Chatkontrolle steht, wirft dieses Vorgehen Fragen auf. Sollte ein so weitreichender Eingriff in die Privatsphäre wirklich auf diese Weise entschieden werden?

Since Aachen is relatively close, local authorities distributed iodine tablets as a precautionary measure in case of a nuclear emergency.

@skot9000 Would be interesting trying with the 472s (372 are worse in every aspect). Unfortunately, I don’t have the financial resources to just test it out. It would have been interesting, though, to mount the CSDs on the back side and the heatsink on the top side directly onto the copper
