There is now a Webflasher (fork of @wantclue's great Webflasher 🥰) for the Nerd*axes 🚀. It is always up to date, as it fetches the latest releases directly from the official GitHub repository's release page 💪. And you can keep your device config 😍shufps.github.io/nerdqaxe-web-f…

@skot9000 You even can make the display blink via the CAN fleet page to find a device quickly in your fleet^^ Or shutdown, reboot, ...

@Pmaxsd Cool! That makes sense. Provisioning headless network devices is always way too complicated.

Closer look🧐 CAN fleet feature in development. Native on the Q137x platform, with an upgrade board for existing Nerd* miners. Connect via CAN, flip the DIP switch to slave, enjoy. The master handles Stratum, WiFi/LAN, and job distribution. Slaves receive jobs and return nonces⚒️

@skot9000 It's not entirely headless though, it actually shows the mining screen on the display but you could think off truly headless variants without display. Even another / cheaper µC without wifi would be possible. Settings can be changed via CAN to.

@skot9000 You don't have to setup anything, just plug it to the CAN bus and it will work automatically. To the Stratum pool it will look like as it is a big miner because only the master is doing Stratum. The slaves don't have any network connection. It's handy for a fleet, plug & mine.

@Pmaxsd What the benefit of CAN over the IP networking already on the board?

@Girz0r Yes, the CAN feature does exactly this. But only Nerd* are supported as Slaves. Starting with NQ+. There will be cheap upgrade PCBs (between board and display) to add CAN.

@0o0Oo0O0oOO Yes but the only thing that really matters is hashrate 🤔 you can't say the pool is better this way, it just is about how much the Asics are hashing per pool and with dual pool the percentage is fixed

@Pmaxsd Ok it just seemed that i got something like: Pool1: 10000 diff * 100 shares = 1 M for one pool and Pool2: 4000 diff * 200 shares = 800k for the second pool Hence pool 1 was better. But maybe my test was not long enough.

@Pmaxsd Hello, could you display in the dashboard: "Total Work" = share_difficulty*shares This is really helpful during 50%50% pool test where one pool might activate a difficulty of 10000, the other at 4000, then it's important to know which one generate the most work/h.

@0o0Oo0O0oOO Hashrate is what the miner physically computes. Shares are just samples of that work. Difficulty only defines how coarse or fine those samples are.

@Pmaxsd And then rotate potentially to 100% pool 1 or pool 2. example: Umbrel local vs Solo CK

@0o0Oo0O0oOO Hmm, I’m not sure what advantage this would provide. The number of accepted shares and the pool difficulty are mostly just an effect of the hashrate you distribute between the two pools, and that distribution is already fixed by the percentage you configured.

Lottery Mining Verification is coming to the Nerd*axes 🥳Your device now checks that your address is actually part of the pool’s coinbase transaction payout — and disconnects if the pool fee exceeds your limit. Trust, but verify.🔍Test it now in 1.0.38-alpha1 🔥#nerdqaxe #bitcoin

NEVER use an online account. Always use a local account and REMOVE Edge completely. Manually delete the contents inside the "Microsoft" folder, located in C Program Files (X86) Do not delete the folder. Check it periodically to make sure Microsoft didn't tamper with it. Microsoft accounts are like wire hangers. NO WIRE HANGERS, EVER !
