🍀 Tonight was Celtic's first Champions League clean sheet at Celtic Park since 2012; 22 matches ago. They are now unbeaten in 5 UCL matches since the disaster in Dortmund, with 3 clean sheets in 5 games! It's their longest unbeaten run in the top tier of European football in 53 years (since 1972).
1⃣ Having lost only 1 game from the 7 so far, Celtic are guaranteed to finish the campaign with less losses than each of Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Man City, Benfica, PSG, Sporting, Stuttgart and 11 others.
🔟 The own goal winner was their 10th goal of the campaign, the first time they've reached that number in over 20 years (2003/04)
🧮 The win adds a further 0.4 points to Scotland's Coefficient, taking Celtic's total to 3 points. It's the most they've added to the national coefficient in a single season since 2019/20.
➕ The win guarantees Celtic a top 24 finish and the bonus coefficient points that come with that (depending on final league position - I'll add this next week)
As an example though, the 18th place Celtic hold only adds another 0.35 bonus points.
💰 For Celtic's finances, the win adds €2.1million, however as explained earlier in the week, they will earn at least another €4.5m for finishing in the top 24, depending on final league position(I won't add this to their €40m total until the table is finalised next week).

🎉 CELTIC🍀 HAVE DONE IT! 🏴 SCOTLAND WILL HAVE TWO TEAMS IN THE KNOCKOUT STAGES OF EUROPEAN FOOTBALL! 3⃣ This is only the 3rd time this has happened in the last 15 years! ▶️ Excluding "dropdowns" - it's the first time since December 2019 that two Scottish teams have progressed! 3⃣ It's the first time since 2006/07, and only the second time in the entire group stage era that two Scottish teams have won 3+ group stage matches in the same season! 💰 The win adds 0.4 coefficient points to Scotland's total, and €2.1million to Celtic's total. In addition to this, it's worth at least an extra €4.5m to Celtic in prizemoney for finishing at least 24th (TBC based on final league position). They have now earned over €45million in UEFA prizemoney this season, before ticket sales. ⏭️ The 'seeded' teams are those that finish 9th-16th; these teams get the second leg at home. Celtic would need at least a point to finish 16th. If they are below 16th, they are 'unseeded' and at home on 11th or 12th of Feb & away on the 18th or 19th Feb ⚖️ As it stands, Celtic in 18th would be drawn next Friday to play against either 15th (Bayern Munich) or 16th (Real Madrid) in the knockout round, followed by 1st (Liverpool) or 2nd (Barcelona) in the last 16. The draw is next Friday the 31st at 11am. 🔵 Good luck to Rangers tomorrow at Old Trafford on TNT Sports 1 at 8pm. A point keeps alive the Gers' hopes of finishing in the top 8 of the Europa League and skipping the knockout round to go straight to the last 16!
