Keep it up y’all - I know shit is discouraging - that it isn’t fair to blue voices on here - BOOST each other. Reply to each other’s posts. Like their stuff, repost it. Quote it. I have selfish reasons sometimes - I feel like I’m getting away with something when I get those little $30 paydays… and irritated when I don’t, despite having put in the work. Still, I do it with integrity, making every effort not to leave my friends and followers out, and remembering that the focus is to ELEVATE like minded individuals - to balance out the rotten right wing lies and propaganda with quality factual information and positive blue voices.

@MarkMantis @Acyn With Ellison taking over, he'll be holding down an anchor chair before you know it.
English

@Acyn Why does CNN even have that gaslighting shitbag??
Oh right. Ratings. Drama / popularity is more important than truth / news.

@theTDN @LNJFoxwoods @Fijithegreat Admirable move to step away from TJC, but the hat tip to Repole in the opening sentence is alarming.
English

“I have resigned from my position as a member of The Jockey Club.
I no longer have confidence in TJC’s current leadership or its vision for the future. I, and @LNJFoxwoods, stand with those calling for meaningful change,” writes Jaime Roth. @Fijithegreat

We are saddened by the passing of three-time All-Star and 1968 World Series MVP Mickey Lolich.
Lolich spent 13 of his 16 Major League seasons with the Tigers, while also pitching for the Mets and Padres.
In 1968, Lolich hurled 3 complete game victories against St. Louis in the World Series to lead Detroit back from a 3-1 deficit and win the championship in seven games.
His finest season came in 1971 when he led the American League in wins (25), starts (49), complete games (29), innings pitched (376), and strikeouts (308), while finishing second in AL Cy Young voting.
Lolich won 217 career games and his 2,832 career strikeouts are 5th all-time among left-handed pitchers behind only Randy Johnson, Steve Carlton, CC Sabathia, and Clayton Kershaw.
Lolich was 85 years old.

@lsferguson It won't be proved because it didn't happen. It will be concocted by Patel and Bondi, and it will be amplified by American-hating asshats like @lsferguson .

If it goes to trial, both sides have to prove Skubal's value is less or more than the midpoint between the bids ($25.5M). Seems like a deal closer to $25 million could be worked out without risk of arb panel. The $19 million bid by the Tigers, FYI, highest ever for a pitcher.
Chris McCosky@cmccosky
The Tigers submitted a salary bid for Skubal of $19 million to the league ahead of arbitration. Strategically low. Scott Boras submitted $32 million. Strategically high. Arbitration panel picks one or the other, no compromise. Which is why I think negotiations continue
