I was walking down the street, trying to look confident and stylish. I saw someone cute ahead and thought, “Perfect moment for a casual hair flip.” So I did it-big, dramatic, like I was in a music video. Except my long braid got caught on a street sign. I yanked it free, and the sound snapped like a rubber band. My hair was sticking out at weird angles, a few strands had torn free, and my confidence? Completely gone. I tried to keep walking like nothing happened, but of course, I stumbled over my own feet while adjusting my hair. Someone passing by started laughing, and another person gave me a thumbs-up. I nodded awkwardly, muttering, “Thanks… for noticing my… skills.” By the time I got home, I was laughing at myself, imagining the moment replaying in everyone else’s head.
