Declaraciones 8:45 am       LUMA continúa avanzando en la restauración del servicio eléctrico tras la interrupción a nivel isla registrada ayer a las 12:38 p.m.  
  
En LUMA continuamos comprometidos con restablecer el servicio de manera rápida y segura para todos los clientes. Como parte de nuestros esfuerzos de respuesta, estamos investigando la causa de este evento, incluyendo el rol y efecto que pudo haber tenido la ya reconocida fragilidad del sistema eléctrico en esta interrupción a nivel isla.  
  
Actualización de Restauración  
  
Hasta las 8:45 a.m.  del 17 de abril, todo el equipo de LUMA continúa trabajando incansablemente junto a nuestros socios generatrices y aliados del gobierno local para coordinar la respuesta y restaurar el servicio a todos los clientes afectados por esta interrupción.     
A esta hora, aproximadamente 689,651 clientes ya cuentan con servicio, lo que representa un 47.0% del total de clientes. Nuestras brigadas seguirán trabajando durante todo el día de hoy con la meta de restablecer el servicio al 90% de los clientes en un periodo de 48 horas, si las condiciones lo permiten.  
  
  
Hasta el momento, los esfuerzos de respuesta y restauración han incluido las siguientes acciones:     
• Activación del Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia, que permanece abierto 24/7 mientras se llevan a cabo los trabajos de restauración.  
• Evaluación de daños e inspecciones aéreas de líneas de transmisión de 230kV y 115kV.  
• Coordinación con socios generatrices para la reconexión de unidades de generación al sistema.  
• Evaluación de infraestructura crítica, líneas de transmisión y subestaciones.  
• Coordinación constante con funcionarios locales, incluyendo el Gobernador y todos los municipios.  
  
Prioridad a Instalaciones Críticas  
  
Como parte de los procedimientos de emergencia de LUMA, se ha priorizado el restablecimiento del servicio a instalaciones críticas, incluyendo hospitales y proveedores de agua. A las 8:45 a.m., las siguientes ubicaciones ya cuentan con servicio eléctrico:      •Manatí Medical Center   •Hospital Wilma N.
