@ThrillaRilla369 I agree, Dr Pepper is gross. I don’t know if it is in the soda category or ot but Gi ger Beer is all vile

@tanpukunokami I agree. I too love the feel, the smell and the cover artwork of a book. I love reading more so, when my eyesight began to dim, I was forced to embrace the e-book and I am grateful to have that option. A real book is best but anything is better that not reading at all.

@MusicJim2 We could use his comedy today. There is certainly lots of material he could work with.

George Carlin 🎩🪄
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.
Remembering the legendary comedian on his Heavenly birthday, George Carlin, born May 12th, 1937. 🎂🎂🎂

When Rachael Prescott, 39, was told she was expecting twins with Down Syndrome, the doctors’ first reaction wasn’t surprise...
It was fear. Not theirs. Hers; expected, anticipated, almost demanded.
They told her six times.Six times they offered her an abortion.
And even before her daughters were born, someone went so far as to offer condolences.
But Rachael didn’t cry.
She didn’t shake.
She didn’t want to run away.
With her, her husband Cody, a young student pilot, chose to stay with her.
Despite the fears.
Despite their daughters’ hearts showing serious defects.
Despite everyone’s eyes on those extra chromosomes as if they were a verdict.
Charlotte and Annette were born in 2018. Identical, small, powerful.
A one-in-a-million case.
Two lives that should have been frightening, yet brought hope instead.
Charlotte underwent heart surgery at six months.
Annette, against all odds, was born without heart defects.
The birth? Natural. No emergencies.
Just immense gratitude.
Around them, silences full of dark expectations. As if everyone was ready to see them suffer.
But Rachael made it clear:
“There was no pain in our hearts. Only Love. For those living little bodies, for those smiles full of life, for those extra chromosomes that don’t change the essential.”
Today, Charlotte and Annette explore the world with eyes full of wonder.
Small, yes. With unsteady steps and laughter that fills the house.
They play with their siblings, cuddle the dog Max.
They live every day with a joy that can’t be measured by medical charts.
Rachael has no doubts:
“If I could go back, I would choose them again. Exactly as they are.”
Because true Love isn’t afraid of difference...
And courage isn’t in fighting the diagnosis, but in looking it in the eye and saying...
“I welcome you.”

@CuriosityonX Absolutely NOT. Naturally I would miss family but I would also miss being able to walk amongst the trees or along the shoreline. I cannot imagine never hearing the birds or smelling the flowers and feeling the wind. No way could I leave this wonderful planet.

@LucasSa56947288 Yes he had a way of saying what we all think

@NiallHarbison @wearehappydoggo I am sorry Niall. It is hard to see a friend deteriorating knowing they will soon pass but Atlas looks happy. You and the clinic staff have given him that. Bless you all.

I've got enough experience doing this to know that it's probably going to be weeks rather than months for Mr. Atlas. Our wonderful house dog at @wearehappydoggo has had two huge operations and we've given him every chance imaginable.
I've just noticed in the past few days that his energy levels have dropped. He's taken an extra hour in his bed. He's having longer lounges on the couch. His energy has dipped and his eyes are just that little bit cloudy. that has all been confirmed by blood work and lots of different tests.
We are a rescue and ultimately we're judged on how many dogs we can save. I always knew that it would be a quality of life thing with Atlas and that ultimately we would not be able to give him a long life. I do happen to believe, though, that the work we do in making these dogs happy at the end of their lives is just as important as anything else we do at scale.
Atlas is still at that stage where he has great spurts of energy and goes on walks and looks for attention from all his favorite humans. We'll wrap him up in cotton wool, pamper him, shower him in love and get him all the meds he can have. No stone will go unturned to make sure Atlas continues to live his dream life while he can.
I always say that dogs live in the moment. Atlas can't remember his horrid times on the streets or his massive tumor that he carried around for years. All he knows is the love, attention, great food, and wonderful life he will have today. Every other day will be a bonus and we’ll be with him every step of the way ❤️

@OrevaZSN If we destroy this planet, where do they think we are going to go? The idea of living in space is along way off if ever and, I am pretty sure, most people would not like it anyway. Never again being able to go for a walk among the trees and hear the birds is not for me.
English

@BeatlesEarth Maybe…You Can’t Do That but I also love Twist and Shout, Please PleaseMe…there are so many I can’t decide. Oh ya, I cannot forget In My Life

@Eman_8282 I am old and can’t run either, we would get along just fine

@Hania16836 It’s beautiful as it is. If you are going to paint it leave it there for someone who will appreciates it as it is.

@OrevaZSN I do and I feel tremendous anger at the stupidity of this act when our climate is in trouble. Those trees help keep us alive.
