Rumor has it George Dunne is fixing the bunkers this Spring. The only problem is this has been the rumor for 10+ years. Courses like GD genuinely make me upset. It’s Cook County owned and Troon managed. The bunker situation has been abysmal for years and it’s no secret. Every review/criticism on all social platforms points to it. I understand it’s a massive undertaking requiring a substantial investment, but the course could genuinely leap frog its way into a Top 5 Chicagoland public. The whole situation is infuriating.

I was really pulling for Miami to finish perfection. When I saw how they acted after winning, I wished they’d have lost. Such a memorable moment embarrassed by a single digit displayed by players and student managers. They were a team winning America’s heart. They ruined it.
