@Sukidovi @atrupar And why aren’t they more worried about N Korea? They actually can reach America with a missile.

@atrupar Watching this, I get the impression that the largest part of the American public is at least open to the idea that there was some sort of credible, though possibly inflated risk of Iran acquiring a nuclear weapon in the next few years. There wasn't; you have been lied to.

BUTTIGIEG: The strait was open before they started this KERNEN: They were close to having 11 nuclear weapons! BUTTIGIEG: We had other ways of dealing with them KERNEN: Like what? Obama's way? BUTTIGIEG: That worked KERNEN: That did not work! BUTTIGIEG: Did they get a nuclear weapon under Obama?

@atrupar PETE BUTTPLUG, 911 OPERATOR: Is the burglar actually in your house? So hes just standing outside your window? Yes, he tried to break in your front door, but he stopped, right? Why are you calling 911 bc he's standing outside your bedroom window? ...he's not trying to break in

@mcase_2 @atrupar What 10 nukes? I thought CIAs view was they haven’t got beyond 60% enrichment, too low for a missile.

@atrupar They are allowed to have ballistic missiles and could definitely have the 10 nukes with they wanted to.

@hatch526 @atrupar Wrong question. What are the consequences of this war? I guess you think: good, because you stopped them from producing a bomb tomorrow. But what if you encouraged them to go for it in the longer run? That’s where the disagreements become meaningful.

No, the point isn’t to get a weapon until they have the military supremacy in place to keep it… Instead they kept a stockpile of uranium for 11 missiles at a stage of enrichment allowing them to reach weapons grade 90% enrichment in under 2 weeks… Salami tactics… Do you go to war when they build stockpiles of thousands of ballistic missiles for attack and defence? Do you go to war if they build an ICBM capable of carrying a nuclear warhead but have no weapons grade nuclear material? What about if technology advances and the time to integrate weapons grade uranium into a ICBM warhead is reduced from say 2 months to a few weeks, do you go to war then? So, they have ICBMs, they have a ballistic missile and drone production programme capable of producing hundreds of weapons a day, they have enough uranium for 11 nuclear missiles and can have the carts assembled in as little as over a month… How the fuck did you let them get to that stage? WHEN do you go to war? AFTER you’re destroyed? Do you know how long it takes to get carrier groups there? What an utter fool Pete is.. Read the IEAE reports from under Obama, you know, the ones doing the “inspections”..,there was a whole host of violations and NOTHING was done about it…..not least, the teams identified undeclared sites that they found uranium particles in…a CLEAR BREECH of the agreement…what did Obama do? That’s right SFA….

@atrupar We can photograph a pac of cigarettes from space and read the surgeon generals warning, and these idiot Democrats try to convince the American people that the commander in chief doesnt have the intel to prosecute this war thats been going on for 47 yrs.

@atrupar DEI unemployed Pete was never involved with matters that were important. The most incompetent administration in history wouldn’t use him in anything other than fixing potholes and bus routes. Why would anyone think he has any value in this conversation.

@nodie1982 @atrupar Except that whereas nobody claims Iranian nukes exist just yet, lot’s of people blame rising temperatures, melting glaciers, rising sea levels, worse storms etc on global warming because that’s a literal description of how the climate’s changed over the past few decades.

@atrupar They've been close to 11 nuclear weapons for 30 years. Eventually this is the same as hearing global warming is an inherent threat.

@commonsenselive @atrupar No, he did what you said because he thought this sort of attack would make it worse in the long run. We’ll see, won’t we? Either way, nobody’s freed the Iranians. It’s not the sort of dictatorship where killing one (or a few) key man makes it collapse, plainly.

@atrupar And the answer to Buttgiegs last retort is: No, like most, if not all previous Presidents, Obama paid dearly to delay the unavoidable beyond his presidency, hoping that someone will have the balls to finish the Mullahs….

@SauronWasFramed @atrupar Build what? Missiles? Nuclear weapons? They already had the former and never had the latter. Iran gets money from selling oil. Still do, they didn’t close the straits to their friends. Did this accelerated their push or slow it down? You can argue it either way.

@SJonNantucket @atrupar Didn’t they already have missiles? Do you mean they would be allowed to develop them further? How practical would it be to stop that by treaty? I guess there was START and all that but they already had the tech.

@atrupar They had enough 60% enriched material for 11 bombs. Obama's deal also placed zero restrictions on ballistic missiles and gave them tons of cash. Total disaster of a deal.

@gambare21 @atrupar Definitely. The question is whether you think this war makes it worse or better for the next president. Whatever your or my opinion, we can’t be sure for a few years. But I don’t think many minds will change in the meantime.

@LarryOstarly @atrupar Maybe you can’t have a discussion with anybody if you just repeat Trump’s talking points, given that what he does and says changes so often, and so rarely for logical reasons.

@atrupar You can't have a discussion with a Democrat. So, Trump was wrong 7 months ago. So, he pivoted and now Iran will never have a nuclear weapon and the regime is neutered. My grandkids will live in a better word.

@SelRamirez1997 @jazziejaf @StephenKing Didn’t Sun Tsu say that it was better to achieve your objectives without fighting than to win repeatedly? Did he not envisage brave men carrying out daring, skilful raids when their leaders could identify no sensible objectives at all?

@BBorimor @StephenKing Nice moto! Of course, Leonidas couldn’t start a war without consulting the rest of the government, the Spartans thought that was no way to run a country. And he died fighting for his country in his person, because he wouldn’t send someone else to fight a foreign war for him.

@ddranch44Badger @StephenKing MAGA in 1776? I thought the founding fathers were fighting against spending on the military and being governed by a man who inherited all his money and regularly lost touch with reality? And they invented the constitution to be followed, not ignored, right?
