@lavsmohan Understood. I also found it counterintuitive that usually sugar is the villain but pre workout is supposed to be sugar rich.

@PoetArora Yeah - sugar/carbs is fuel, essentially. Of course, this is only if and when you're doing highly strenuous work like running 10K+ kms in the heat, have tough hybrid workouts etc.

Avoided sugar and dairy for more than a decade. Got healthy, fit and started training a little seriously. Now I eat three tablespoons of marmalade before runs and down a chocolate milkshake after. nutrition science is really cruel

When Mum and Dad passed away last year, I found this letter in their bedroom. I’m pretty sure it kick-started their 60 year relationship - Mum was clearly besotted.

An old timer once told me "Son, people like us don't have people, we're the people that others have" And that hit hard

@newstart_2024 Ramayan was a gentle nudge towards monogamy because it is necessary to make society stable

Camus@newstart_2024·
Our species norm is polygyny: 80% of cultures historically let high-status men hoard wives while low-status men get nothing. Christianity (inherited from Rome) forced monogamy for 2000 years. Now we've mostly ditched it—and we're sliding back toward the old pattern. Louise Perry: Lifting the monogamous restriction produces worse outcomes—higher crime, domestic violence, economic inequality. Monogamy is better for women and low-status men. Monogamy isn't "natural"—it's an engineered cultural upgrade that tamed inequality and violence. Do you think monogamy is worth defending even if it's not the "default" human pattern? Or are we better off returning to the species norm? Your take 👇

@cliifforrd Men will solve the problem for all men if for once they withdraw decision making from their dick and stop talking to boring women.

@Cr7Godbrand Social stigma in Japan against being in porn is just too big. Plus men get paid shit. It is a high risk low reward situation.

70 men vs. 10,000 Japanese women. This is 2026, a time when women can pursue whatever they choose, with no barriers in education, employment, or property ownership. Yet even now, there are still 10,000 women in one country working in porn. Do you understand what 10,000 represents? Despite this, some people still claim that women could not become successful because of barriers. They have freedom and tbis is what 10,000 of them could do with it. Keep blaming patriarchy. Lazy idiots.

Sabrina Carpenter: "Call men stupid in every possible way that you can" while giving songwriting advice at an award ceremony. If a male recording artist said this about women he'd be dropped by his label, lose his sponsors, tour boycotted, and there would be mass media hysteria.

@mishapathy I remember there was a video in pre-LGBT wave era where men in Mumbai used to walk on the beach holding hands with their male friends. Men stopped it trying to not look gay.

2k comments in and not one holding the authorities accountable for roads like this. Everyone is focused on dodging the pothole instead of questioning why it exists in the first place. Says a lot about our mindset.

What would you do in this situation?
