Also, I looked up the flags, but I don't think they are those orgs, tho one *possibly* could be a generic jihadist flag. I googled but couldn't figure it out.

@JustLuai It's an Ashura procession.
But, where I live in a mostly English part of the UK, there is a Pride Flag and a Ukraine flag in front of our council.
There is a tattered Union Jack flag hidden in the back out of sight.
But, I'm not going to fuss over an Ashura procession.

All kidding aside, altho I find the episode & space hippies really annoying, #StarTrek still manages a balanced social commentary: idealist youth going too far, and the value & nobility of chasing your dreams (realistically and without hurting other people).

After watching #StarTrekTOS last night--the one with the space hippies that hijack the Enterprise to go to Eden, I've come to one undeniable conclusion:

@AuthorGFAllen I'm sure it was, but I can't think of anything in particular. I read a lot of Greek myths as a kid, but as a teen--horror, in my 20s & 30s philosophy and genre fic (scifi/urban fantasy), & now all of the above as well as poetry & philosophy. So who knows?
