🚨Breaking: An 18-year-old driver has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly plowing a car into five Chicago police officers during a chaotic "teen takeover" on the Near West Side.
Rashad Johnson, of Plainfield, faces multiple felony counts including five counts of first-degree attempted murder. The incident occurred early Sunday morning near Roosevelt Road and Loomis Street as officers tried to disperse a large crowd.
A firearm was reportedly recovered from the vehicle. All five officers were injured but expected to recover.
