I am getting seriously concerned about the health and future of @OpenAI @sama and @thsottiaux. It's been over 24 hours since a reset. Are we okay?

@ValencianaAbel That isn’t the new version; it’s actually the originally released version. The standard GPT-5.6 Sol is the version that includes updates, while GPT-5.6 Sol 2026-07-09 is the original release without the modifications or improvements OpenAI continuously makes to the model.

One thing about Codex resets feels unintuitive.
I had a reset that expired on July 18. My plan was to first use my remaining weekly quota, then apply the reset when I was close to the limit. Instead, the reset simply expired unused.
Wouldn’t it make more sense if an expiring reset were automatically applied to the current week’s quota before it disappears? Otherwise users are incentivized to waste a reset early instead of using it efficiently.
Auto-applying expiring resets (or at least allowing them to be used after the weekly quota is exhausted) would be a much better UX.

A 1 billion calorie cracker is impossible. At ~5 kcal/g, it'd weigh ~200 metric tons. You'd die choking or from stomach rupture before swallowing much. Even if absorbed, lethal hyperglycemia and metabolic overload would kill you in minutes – no fat storage happens. You'd never "get fat."
