Being in DC in person yesterday, where an estimated 300,000+ people were on the National Mall despite suffering through both a heat wave and a thunderstorm, has helped me better realize something that I had known all along, but which I rarely ever had first-hand evidence to confirm.
All these people do is lie about everything for the sole purpose of demoralizing their ideological enemies.

A good rule of thumb is to not use nonpartisan elections to project onto partisan generals.

I’ve been to a lot of cities, but Atlanta feels different. Any vacant land is swallowed by greenery.. thick vines, dense canopies. Entire blocks look like they’ve been reclaimed by nature. Flying in, you don’t see a sprawling concrete city. You see a forest, with a handful of skyscrapers rising out of it. Atlanta is one of the few major cities that genuinely feels built inside a woodland. Every street has a random heavily forested part. It’s unique.
