As I hear this rain beat down on my roof, I’m reminded of why housing is a human right.

Long Beach resident on City's conduct during park shelter controversy: "I don't agree with how you handled it tonight. I would really hope that the City looks at how you handle the community, because you need some help going back to that."

West Long Beach resident: "I have seen the depletion of life's conditions onto West Long Beach.. If the City's personnel did their due diligence they would find that El Dorado is the best place to be."

LB resident: "Where is the equity? The community hospital was vacant, given away to the Molina family. It was given away to them by the City. It was vacant, not doing anything. This park is not vacant. It's where my kids went because there are no other parks that are close by."
