The new line would make it possible to counterattack outside the city. Another possible concept would be the defense line along the small river or the city center.

The situation in Kostiantinivka deteriorates. Not only did the AFU lose many positions in the south, but also there is a possible encirclement. Right now it would be better to reinforce the positions in the north of the city and abandon the south, like Russia in Kupyansk.

Clarified the gray zone near Kucheriv Yar. Also, unconfirmed reports suggest that Ukrainian forces crossed the Kursk region border. Very unlikely though, so its only a gray zone there. Interactive map: tinyurl.com/ukrainewsukr

The Defense forces regained positions in the northern part of Ridkodub and fully captured Andriivka-Klevtsove (Iskra). Russians had progress south of Charivne, in Lisne, Novopidhorodne and outside Hryshine. Use the interactive map: tinyurl.com/ukrainewsukr

🇺🇦🇷🇺 DONETSK IS MOVING AGAIN
Ukrainian forces have reportedly begun a major assault toward Tolstoi and Novokhats'ke in Donetsk region.
If confirmed, this is not just another quiet adjustment on the map. It means Ukraine is putting fresh pressure on Russian positions in an area Moscow cannot afford to treat as comfortable.
The fighting will decide the details, but the direction is clear: Ukraine is still probing, still pushing, and still forcing Russia to react.

@P_Kallioniemi @Deepstate_UA Sorry to break it to you, but Deepstate isn't too trustworthy. And I do not trust the "Half of Orikhiv is captured". But, on the Zaporizhzhia direction Deepstate is pretty correct, not on the most directions though.

Someone from the Russian Ministry of Defense leaked their battle maps.
Then someone compared those maps with the ones from @Deepstate_UA.
The difference is staggering.
The Russian leadership is being fed lies and is completely out of touch with the situation on the front.

The Russian MOD released a map of what they claim the situation in Zaporizhzhia Oblast is, including some additional ridiculous claims that we have not seen yet. Notably, according to them, Russian forces control almost everything between Stepnohirsk and the Konka River, part of Orikhiv, all of Mala Tokmachka, and have reached the outskirts of Yurkivka. Some of the areas they claim to control are nearly 13 km from the frontline. I have overlayed their map with mine for reference. Also, this map is from April 9, nearly 2 months ago, meaning that what they claim the situation is now will be even crazier.

@kravietz2048 @ChrisO_wiki Gerasimov claims 80% of Lyman and half of Orikhiv are captured. I don't belive him either, it's just ridiculous. The battle of tiny Kotlyne near Pokrovsk going on for 1.5 years according to Deepstate is also ridiculous.

That’s delay in updates about which they wrote many times, but it does not involve marking Ukrainian advances dozens of kilometres ahead of where they actually are, like Russians do. DS policy means not marking Ukrainian advances immediately after they happen, if anything, which is exactly opposite to what Gerasimov does.

This is an incredible demonstration, comparing a leaked Russian army map with the generally reliable DeepState map, of how the Russian generals think they're fighting kilometers ahead of where the front lines actually are.

@theonlychsu @ChrisO_wiki Deepstate still shows a part of Huliapole in the gray zone. My favorite part is the tiny village Kotlyne, where battles are going on for 1.5 years. According to Deepstate

The situation for Ukraine in Kostyantynivka is deteriorating day by day.
Ukraine completed the withdrawal of their remaining drone operators from the city, which will simplify consolidation for Russian infiltrators. I think we can expect some significant Russian advances here in the near future, as Ukraine slowly gets dislodged from the inner suburbs.

RuMOD’s map of the southern front shows them well beyond the consensus lines of mappers. I think Ukraine’s counterattack here discombobulated geolocation and community maps are in need of catchup.

Russian forces advanced in Riasne (Sumy d.), Chaikivka and Karaichne (Kharkiv d.) and captured Vozdvyzhivka and Verkhna Tersa (Omelnyk/Huliaipole d.). I'm trying to map the Kostiantinivka front as good as possible, so it will be corrected later. Map: tinyurl.com/ukrainewsukr
