I would be blown away if the Mets were able to acquire a big bat that would satisfy this fan base.. Stearns has consistently acquired minor league, talent, and forced it onto this roster. Acquiring the necessary, big bat would cost major prospects at this point in the season, which I would be stunned if he gave up.

@Strongpeople72 @RGIII While that is true. If you look at 1st round picks over the last 15 years, very few have signed a 2nd contract with the Jets.

@Ponchox623 @RGIII This is so lazy.... New regimes very often trade players who they didn't draft. Happens all the time... Especially when the team you're trading with is willing to overpay like the Colts & Dallas did!

This Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel story is getting crazier and crazier. Everyday it’s something new. Why isn’t it being covered with the same vigor as Ime Udoka or Sherrone Moore by the media? Heck even Klay Thompson and Meg the Stallion are getting no holds barred coverage.
