@MarinaPurkiss @JeremyVineOn5 If you need to ask "why on earth wouldn't we?", it just goes to show why you should never have a public voice again peddling your ant-British bile.

People now debating whether we should rejoin the EU… Surely the real question is: Why on earth wouldn’t we?!

I’ve not been a supporter of @wesstreeting as Health Secretary but credit to him for making a clear call to re-join the EU - good for the economy and in line with UK public opinion but I’m not sure @UKLabour are brave enough to back that Streeting says he would join leadership race as Burnham vows to 'save' Labour bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@NasheCeezet_zw My late wife and I kept in touch with her grandmother even though my MiL wasn't happy about it. When my wife's grandmother died, aged 95, I organised her funeral. My MiL would not attend.

My grandfather refused to speak to his brother for 32 years. Nobody knew why. Family events were split in half, weddings awkward and funerals worse. Then my grandfather got dementia. One day he suddenly asked: "Did Tommy survive?" My mom froze, Tommy was his brother.

What exactly has Starmer done that is anywhere near as bad as what the fucking Tories did for 14 years? That is a serious question. What have I missed?

@sarahnaomi110 @Stewart09322559 @ToryFibs How old are you - 12? I'm 81 and can remember the days when you could only get a telephone from the GPO (waiting months for a party line), or a gas cooker from the gas board, with a similar delay. NHS treatment was quicker when we didn't have to cater for millions of immigrants.

Nothing that has been privatised has benefited anyone in this country, except their shareholder’s. At least with BR, I could afford to travel by train. At least when energy was nationalised I could afford to heat my house. The NHS is a disaster zone but hasn’t been helped being partly PFI funded by the back door. I am not a fucking idiot, just a regular person trying to live a basic life.

@sarahnaomi110 @ToryFibs "a total revamp of the NHS, ridding all private interests, no private profits." Have you cleared that with one T Blair? It was his imposition of PFI that fleeced the NHS to the extent that it bankrupted the health service and put it in the position it is today.

@ToryFibs Yes, we do need to renationalise transport, energy, water, steel and a total revamp of the NHS, ridding all private interests, no private profits. All our basic services need to be back under OUR control again.

Each department in government will now have its own delivery unit, led by a senior civil servant. And every Secretary of State and Minister of State will be given a new “delivery advisor” in their private office to support this work. These new delivery functions will be accountable to both their Secretary of State and to my team. This builds on my recent work setting up the new joint No10 and Cabinet Office Delivery Unit. @LloydCymru They have a mandate, I agree, but to say 'what the Welsh people voted for', is disingenuous to say the least.

I didn’t vote for them myself, and clearly 65% of the public didn’t either, however by being the biggest party they do gain a mandate to govern under the system that was chosen to run the election. Including Plaid Cymru, over 58% of the electorate voted for parties pushing for expanded devolution

One week of Plaid Cymru Government and the nameless, faceless “exposed” and “anti-waste” accounts have already shown themselves to be anti anything that makes Wales different from England. Total meltdowns from people who refuse to accept what the Welsh people voted for.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Farage trousered £5,000,000 from a crypto guy in Thailand without declaring it in the Register, and then went on to actively promote crypto in speeches. He initially claimed every penny was to pay for personal security... but he bought a £1.4m house in cash shortly after… 🤔

@DavidLammy This is a appalling and disgusting post. What evidence do you have that the organisers are spreading "hatred and division"? You should retract this post and apologise immediately, to the hundreds of thousands of participants; Better still, resign your posts without delay.

The Unite the Kingdom march organisers are spreading hatred and division. They do not reflect the Britain I’m proud of. Peaceful protest is a fundamental right and one I will always protect. But if protest turns violent, we will act swiftly, with extra court capacity in place.
