polymarket has a manipulation problem nobody talks about UMA holders can literally propose any resolution even if it doesn't match what actually happened here's how they pulled it off market: "will the US launch a ground operation against cartels in mexico by january 31" the market dropped to 1c then on the last day UMA holders pushed resolution as YES their proof: an FBI director video that came out 9 days ago but somehow nobody noticed it until today the exact day they're trying to resolve the market as yes convenient now let's look at what the FBI director actually said he clearly stated he won't go into details the arrest was made through "joint actions and coordination with mexican operators" that's it no mention of US personnel directly participating on the ground mexican police made the arrest the US role was coordination and intelligence support which the resolution criteria explicitly excludes the rules require US personnel to "directly participate on the ground" coordination is not participation so how does it beat actual boots on the ground it doesn't but UMA holders don't care they already bought shares at 1c before pushing the resolution buy cheap, manipulate resolution, profit and most traders have no idea this is happening

We only allow you to bet on things that are verifiable without the need for a 3rd party “Will Gold hit $6k by March 1st” doesn’t need a “truth” authority to exist. You simply just have the oracle check the price once March 1st comes along It’s that simple
