Today, Dr. #LawrenceBanks, Director-General, @ICGEB , inaugurated new research facilities at the @ICGEBNewDelhicampus, marking a significant milestone in strengthening advanced Biotech infrastructure. He was accompanied by Dr. @ramesh_sonti , Director, @ICGEBNewDelhi, along with faculty members and administrative staff. The newly launched state-of-the-art Plant Growth Facility will enable precise control of environmental conditions such as temp, humidity & light, providing researchers with a highly regulated setting to study plant performance & stress responses. The Algal Scale-Up & Bioprocessing Facility (ASPIRE) will accelerate the development & demonstration of scalable algal technologies for carbon capture & the production of high-value bio-based products, advancing sustainable biotechnology solutions. During the visit, Dr. Banks also visited the recently refurbished residential hostel block and handed over the keys to resident students, reaffirming #ICGEB’s commitment not only to cutting-edge research but also to strengthening campus infrastructure and student well-being.
