@TeddyCohen133 @RitchieTorres And when you try and show @AliVelshi - a link to the Oxford dictionary - he blocks you. He is a scary type of journalist. The kind that can’t just admit they made a mistake even when the facts are clear.
English

@RitchieTorres Stop responding to them. They are bad faith actors and beneath you.
English

@IrkaLive @RitchieTorres @MSNBC And Ali’s next tweet was that he checked Oxford and Ritchie is wrong. I provided a link to Oxford dictionary (us) and showed Ali was still wrong. And you know what he did? Blocked me! Can’t admit he didn’t do proper fact checking. Really scary…
English

@MarlenBodden @RitchieTorres Read a little further down to the second definition.
English

@RitchieTorres dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dictionary/… I consulted my favorite dictionary, the Oxford English Dictionary, and, in fact, single and singular mean the same thing.

English

@WJHirschi @RitchieTorres @BadJewishBoy And Ali velshi then goes on to claim the Oxford dictionary doesn’t have that definition. I fact check him and provide a link to the dictionary and he blocks me. What kind of reporter is that? He doesn’t even know how to look something up in a dictionary.
English

@RitchieTorres @BadJewishBoy Lots of folks on this thread still haven’t bothered consulting their dictionaries. So I’ll help out:
Per OED – (2) exceptionally good or great, remarkable.
Example: “The singular beauty of the desert.”
English

@shimonkdn @tux_nyc @AliVelshi @RitchieTorres And lying about Oxford dictionary- oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/…
English

@tux_nyc @AliVelshi @RitchieTorres Who doesn’t know the meaning of singular or how to use a dictionary? oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/…
English

@AliVelshi @RitchieTorres @RitchieTorres should speak to his own opinions about the Middle East and stop trolling a knowledgeable journalist.
English

@eimedina2 @AliVelshi @RitchieTorres Or he knows the meaning of singular and understands the diff tenses and there meanings oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/…
English

@AliVelshi @RitchieTorres He can’t help it. His masters at AIPAC demand this from him.
English

@ahmednasirlaw @AliVelshi @RitchieTorres Hahah let’s check the dictionary- Ali Velshi lied - oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/…
English

@AliVelshi @RitchieTorres He is still young to finish his undergraduate degree!
English

@AliVelshi @RitchieTorres Are you confusing a noun and an adj? Really where did you go to school? Oxford dictionary didn’t say that oxfordlearnersdictionaries.com/us/definition/…. Also doesn’t speak highly of your fact checking abilities
English

@kristinaEBP Yeah I am sure Abigail who saw them murder her parents and then crawled out from under their dead bodies only to go to her next door neighbors homes to see them murdered too - feels real safe with Hamas. I am sure the kids who got split from their parents feel safe
English

@PoopOnNRA Those kids have no fear of their captors, it obvious 🤷♀️ They were well taken care of
Palestinian kids taken hostage by the Israeli apartheid regime do not look like this. They have also usually been held for years rather than a month 🤔
x.com/ShaykhSulaiman…
Sulaiman Ahmed@ShaykhSulaiman
BREAKING: CHILD HOSTAGE YASER ZAAMIYEH FREED AND SPEAKS OUT Zaamiyeh was jailed at 16 and said; The prison administration was horrible. They treated us violently. They've beaten up a lot of people, some of them died in their own [Israeli guards'] hands. Some people's heads were split open in our section of the prison, little children - 10 years old, 12 years old - are being treated with extreme violence.” He said that they are fed dry rice, and are kept in freezing temperatures that prevent them from being able to sleep for more than a few hours a day
English

Seems like a good time to mention that ‘Stockholm syndrome’ was made up to discredit a woman who was publicly critical of the police’s bungling when she was held hostage by criminals
Stockholm syndrome isn’t real 🤷♀️ #FreePalestine #IsraeliWarCrimes
English

@Iueminous Hahah the hostages aren’t experiencing Stockholm syndrome- they are experience terrorism. 100% of them have family are friends that are still hostages. Would you wave to the people who say I will kill your mom, dad, husband, sister brother if you don’t wave?
English

@PoopOnNRA More likely scenario. Unless we’re in their brain, we don’t know. It could be friendly, it could be polite, it could be hoping to have family treated kindly who are still hostages. We just don’t know until they tell us.
English

@julianakilrose But terrorism isn’t. The hostages have family still being held in the tunnels by the same people who they saw kill and rape people. What would you do? The kids who waved have a parent still being held in the tunnels. They terrorist said wave and they waved.
English

I hate to do this to everyone this early in the morning, but Stockholm Syndrome is a myth…and misogynistic

Josh Gerstein@joshgerstein
If only there were a long-ago identified syndrome to explain this
English

@OhFrenchie @ksliz22 No they are being asked to wave by the people who have their family still in tunnels. Oh and let’s not forget they saw these people brutally rape and kill their neighbors and in some cases families!
English

As a reminder, Stockholm syndrome isn’t a thing-it was police and a psychologist trying to discredit a victim complaining about police mismanagement of a hostage situation.
