A huge discovery. Brahmi script discovered at PGW levels! This pushes back the antiquity of Brahmi script in India and strengthens the theory that Brahmi script is a result of indigenous development. Possible evolution from Harrapan? Alot of possibilities open up now. 1/n

At the close of World War 2, British Indian Govt discussed a "surrender list" of Indians to be recovered from Japan. Subhas Bose was also discussed in this regard. In 1962, Gumnami Baba said that there was a secret protocol which bound free India govt to deliver him to Allied justice. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Subhas Bose made clear his total disapproval of Mahatma Gandhi when he was in Germany in 1942. At the same time, he was open to saying good things about him occasionally as a political manoeuvre. After he arrived in SE Asia in 1943, Netaji made public statements which are today cited to boost Brand Gandhi. However, no one bothers to explain the context in which these statements were made. First and foremost, Bose thought it was politically expedient to do so. The Japanese too, as a matter of strategy, wanted to project a joint Indian front. A top secret Japanese communication on the eve of Bose's arrival in SE Asia cautioned that local newspapers should not carry articles indicating that there was any split between Gandhi and Nehru on one hand and Subhas and Rash Behari Bose on the other. This communication was intercepted by the Americans.

National politics is not the same as college debate. Bose never developed complete faith on Gandhian ways, not even to the extent that Nehru did. He always gave credit to Gandhi for awakening the political consciousness of the common Indians and organising the Congress. But by 1934, he was sure that Gandhi did not represent the spirit of the awakened India any more. All the nice things he said about Gandhi after that were out of respect, not out of agreement. At the same time, he stated his points of disagreement with Gandhi with brutal honesty. To project the praise as Bose's subservience to Gandhian views is nothing but malicious propaganda. @anujdhar

So even in January 1946, the idea of the British further ruling India in some Dominion set-up was very much an option. Infact in Feb 1946(before the RIN Mutiny), the British wanted the future Indian 'Dominion' to have British troops as a part of Commanwealth Strategic Reserve.

ADG PI - INDIAN ARMY@adgpi

OPERATION SINDOOR Indian Army Pulverizes Terrorist Launchpads As a response to Pakistan's misadventures of attempted drone strikes on the night of 08 and 09 May 2025 in multiple cities of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the #Indian Army conducted a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads, pulverizing & razing them to cinders. The terrorist launchpads, located close to the Line of Control, were a hub for planning and executing terror attacks against Indian civilians and security forces in the past. The Indian Army's swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities. #IndianArmy #PahalgamTerrorAttack #JusticeServed @DefenceMinIndia @SpokespersonMoD @HQ_IDS_India @NorthernComd_IA @Whiteknight_IA

@anujdhar You know. They(the usual detractors) know this. They all know very well what your argument is. That you don't demean our army heroes of 1947-71 like Manekshaw and Cariappa. They know you are only targeting the British Indian Army phase and Raj lust. They deliberately strawman.

Who do you think i am? It is sacrilegious to try and put down our own armed forces. The point i made relates to the Raj era and the ties with it, which should have no place in free India. That's all. However, any attack on INA is also an attack on India.
Sanatan Darshanik@S_Darshanik

@anujdhar @RamaGoyal18 @chandrachurg @ProfKapilKumar You can argue for decolonising the Indian Army without putting down their post-independence achievements, you know. Field Marshal Cariappa had a big role to play in shaping the Indian military after 1947. He clashed with Nehru on many matters.
