The Prime Minister leaves for Cyprus, Canada, and Croatia this morning. There was a time when he boasted about his knowledge of algebra by spouting the (a+b)^2 equation as applicable to India and Canada. But things went horribly wrong thereafter. When it appeared that Canada was dragging its feet on the invite to India, Mr. Modi's drumbeaters proclaimed that He would not go even if invited. But like always, he stands exposed. The Canadian Prime Minister has said that India has been invited to the G7 Summit along with a number of other non-G7 countries because India is the fifth largest economy in the world. Perhaps Mr. Modi can remind him that according to the Niti Aayog CEO, India became the world's third largest economy on May 24, 2025. This is Mr. Modi's 35th trip abroad since May 2023. He has all the energy, excitement, and enthusiasm--the 3 Es-- for such visits. But can he not summon up a 4th E--empathy-- for going to Manipur where the people's distress, agony and suffering continues unabated? He has met with NOBODY from the state, let alone political leaders, since May 3, 2023. Pathetic of the PM to treat Manipur in this awful manner.

Everyone, including yourself, is aware that Manipur is in turmoil today because of the past sins committed by the Congress, such as the repeated settlement of Burmese refugees in Manipur and the signing of the SoO Agreement with Myanmar-based militants in the state, spearheaded by @PChidambaram_IN during his tenure as the Home Minister of India. The apology I extended today was a sincere act of expressing my grief for the people who have been left displaced and become homeless. As a Chief Minister, it was an appeal to forgive and forget what had happened. However, you brought politics into it. Let me remind you: The Naga-Kuki clashes in Manipur resulted in the deaths of approximately 1,300 people and the displacement of thousands more. The violence persisted for several years, with periodic escalations occurring between 1992 and 1997, though the most intense period of conflict was in 1992–1993. The clashes began in 1992 and continued at varying intensities for around five years (1992–1997). This period marked one of the bloodiest ethnic conflicts in northeast India, deeply affecting relations between the Naga and Kuki communities in Manipur. Did Shri PV Narasimha Rao, who served as the Prime Minister of India from 1991 to 1996 and was the President of the Indian National Congress during this time, come to Manipur to extend an apology? The Kuki-Paite clashes claimed 350 lives in the state. During most of the Kuki-Paite clashes (1997–1998), Shri IK Gujral was the Prime Minister of India. Did he visit Manipur and say sorry to the people? Instead of putting efforts to solve the core issues in Manipur, why is the @INCIndia playing politics over it all the time?

Why can't the Prime Minister go to Manipur and say the same thing there? He has deliberately avoided visiting the state since May 4th, 2023, even as he jets around the country and the world. The people of Manipur simply cannot understand this neglect

VIDEO | Here's what Congress MP A Bimol Akoijam (@Bimol_Akoijam) said on 56-year-old Laishram Kamalbabu Singh who has gone missing from the Leimakhong Military Station in Manipur's Kangpokpi district. "A very strange incident has happened. A 56-year-old person, called Laishram Kamalbabu Singh, who works as a supervisor of a construction company called Binod Construction, was working inside the military garrison in Manipur at Leimakhong which is the headquarter of 57th Mountain Division which is the Red Shield Division of the Indian Army. On November 25, he entered the Army garrison, his signature is there at the entry point, but there is no signature at the exit point, and so he disappeared within the Army campus and there is no information till today about what happened to him. This is very strange that a person has disappeared from the Army campus... I was trying to raise this issue in the Parliament, but I didn't get the opportunity today. Anytime when I get it, I will be raising this issue, but it has been a week now and I am very worried." #Manipur (Full video available on PTI Videos - ptivideos.com)

Ema Manipur, I am sorry. I can't protect our small baby girl from the hands of barbaric, savaged and Satanic hands. Please forgive me, my Mother Manipur. The killing of a few months old small baby girl from Jiribam District of Manipur, besides other women and children, has gravely shocked the consciousness of mankind on this planet. This act is not only a terrorist act but it is also an act of the most cruel savagery against humanity. The manner in which the baby child was killed is the highest form of barbarism, death of humanity and utmost sinfully Satanic act. When even a newly born baby can't be saved in our own democracy, where shall we go now? How long will we allow such barbarism and savagery against our women, children and newly born babies of Manipur?
