Warren Buffett may be onto something. The best time to buy stocks in the past 12 months has been when there was extreme fear in the market.

@FASTGraphs just added Equity ETF support! First thing I checked? $SCHD (of course) Estimated dividends: $1.14/share in 2026 $1.25 in 2027 $1.37 in 2028 What do you think about the estimates?

@MarcosMillaYT It looks like $VUS has only paid a single quarterly dividend payment, in March 2026. If we extrapolate that payment out across four quarters, it results in a roughly 3% yield. It's worth watching in my opinion, but too early to draw meaningful conclusions on dividend growth.

In 5 years $VUS will continue to have a 3.5-4% yield with high growth that crushes $SCHD it’s an ETF that no one is talking about… The top holdings are: 1) $AAPL 2) $NVDA 3) $AVGO 4) $MSFT 5) $MU AND IT PAYS A HIGH DIVIDEND WTF… OVER 3% to my knowledge…

This incredible white paper shared by @OUPAcademic really solidified my passion for #ETFs such as $SCHD and $SCHY, for my personal dividend portfolio. This white paper titled "The Role of Taxes in the Rise of ETFs" illustrates how ETFs can implement position turnover while avoiding capital gains distributions. This one is worth reading and bookmarking. 🎓 This is a key distinction from traditional mutual funds and also individual stocks (that are actively managed). 💡 (Disc: I'm long $SCHD and $SCHY. Not investment advice. Not tax advice.) academic.oup.com/rfs/article/38…

@SCHDETF @DilksJay I appreciate everything you do for the SCHD community, Craig! Just for fun, I asked Claude to create a chart showing SCHD price history (2011–2026) with linear trend extrapolated to 2031.

@SCHDETF $SCHG is lagging behind $QQQ because I initiated a position in it 30 days ago 😂

Why is $SCHG lagging $QQQ so much YTD? 🤔 Possible culprits: • $QQQ benefited more from names like $MU and even $INTC. Neither are in $SCHG. • Financials are down roughly 6% YTD 🔴 and $SCHG has financial exposure while $QQQ has none. • $QQQ is more concentrated, so when a handful of Nasdaq giants rip, it pulls ahead faster. • $SCHG owns nearly 200 stocks, so gains are spread across a broader basket. What did I miss?

As well as $VOO and $QQQ have done lately, $SCHD is still leading the pack so far in 2026. 👀 What’s really surprising to me is $SCHG. It usually performs much closer to $QQQ, but this year there’s been a pretty noticeable gap. YTD Total Returns 📈 🟠 $SCHD: +16.25% 🔵 $QQQ: +15.92% ⚫️ $VYM: +8.96% 🟣 $VOO: +8.46% 🟢 $FDVV: +5.81% 🔴 $DGRO: +5.65% 🤔 $SCHG: +4.73% Interesting year so far. What do you think is causing the gap between $SCHG and $QQQ?

Hey Craig, thanks for asking! I always appreciate thoughtful analysis from @DilksJay. After several years trailing behind the S&P 500, I could definitely see SCHD outperforming for the next few years. And it's a good reminder to reset our expectations of what a 'good price' for $SCHD looks like, as that floor keeps rising with the dividends.

@DividendGrowth I struggle with this. I want REIT exposure in my portfolio, but none of the REIT ETFs have had meaningful dividend growth, so I'm forced to own individual companies.

The Vanguard REIT Fund $VGSIX paid $0.77/share in annual dividends in 1997 Fast forward to 2025, and the same fund paid $1.11/share in annual dividends REITs as a sector have essentially failed to grow real annual dividends for close to three whole decades Buying a largely stagnant income stream is definitely not what I am into That being said, a REIT that has managed to grow dividends during that period of time is definitely a solid performer for further study. You need to be very selective in what you buy. But in general, it looks like the REIT sector as a whole is swimming upstream (at least distribution wise). That's something to keep in mind. You do not want your whole total return to come from stagnant dividend income. In order to get capital appreciation, you have to be able to time your entry and buy low, then pray for interest rates to start going down.. That's totally not the game I know how to play But this stagnation in total dividends for the REIT sector for almost three decades does surprise me

@SCHDETF I think it’s helpful. What would make it better is some historical context. Specifically, during this time period the annual total return of the S&P 500 is well above its historical average.

Most analysts focus on 12-month price targets. As a dividend growth investor, I'm playing a different game. I'm looking for quality companies with above-average yields and reliable dividend growth. Short-term price appreciation is a bonus, not the goal. That's why I don't let analyst ratings drive my decisions, we're optimizing for different outcomes.

@ianlopuch Thanks Ian! It will be interesting to watch $SCHY’s dividend growth over the next few years as it’s still a relatively new ETF.

Just went through $SCHY's reconstitution data and I'm pretty encouraged. FCF/debt went from 169% → 219%. ROE climbed to 23%. Dividend growth of the underlying holdings is up 1.80%. Yes, the current yield dipped, but the quality of what's inside the fund improved meaningfully. Are we setting up for stronger dividend growth from $SCHY?

Is evolution AB being taken over by billionaire Kenneth Dart? 😲 My understanding is that a 30% ownership triggers a takeover bid or mandatory sell down within 4 weeks. Any one familiar with the matter? Discl: I own still shares in $EVO

$SCHD + $FDVV I just crossed 1,000 shares of $FDVV (Fidelity High Dividend ETF). I think $FDVV is a strong complement to $SCHD. Why it pairs well: • Low overlap with $SCHD • Adds exposure where SCHD is lighter, with complementary sector weightings:  • $SCHD: strong in Energy, Consumer Defensive, Healthcare; lighter in Tech, no REITs or Utilities  • $FDVV: more Tech, Financials, Real Estate, Utilities; lighter in Healthcare and Industrials • Includes mega-cap growth names SCHD typically won’t hold: $NVDA, $AVGO, $GOOGL, $META, $MSFT, $V, $AAPL • Brings more S&P 500 style growth exposure and has actually outperformed the S&P over multiple time frames including over the past 5 years • Showed solid downside resilience in 2022 • Around a 3% yield. Dividend growth has been up and down but improving recently.  • 9.2% over the last 12 months  • 9.8% annualized over the last 5 years • Adds a small international sleeve (about 5–7%) for extra diversification Together, they blend income stability with growth exposure while staying grounded in fundamentals and long-term discipline. Not about chasing performance. Just building a balanced, reliable ETF foundation that can compound and pay you over time. Anyone else pairing $SCHD with something like this?
