I can’t imagine why this has to be answered again, but here goes. Because there are Islamic scholars who professionally use the library. Muslims pray five times a day on a very strict schedule. They do not just pray sitting down quietly. They have physical gestures to do and words that need to be spoken out loud. The scholars asked if there would be a room that they could go to where they could privately do their thing without interrupting any of the other library patrons. The Vatican said yes, and provided them with a small space.

This is an appreciation post for Amy Pascal. Her involvement and producer power made Project Hail Mary what it is today.
Sandra Hüller chose "Sign of the Times" for the karaoke scene at the absolute last minute. The team knew clearing the rights would be incredibly tough: the cast and crew were already on the ship in London, ready to shoot, and the production only had 36 hours left of filming there. Barely enough time to practice, let alone clear a massive hit like this one.
First, the music supervisor reached out to Universal Music Publishing. Then Amy Pascal stepped in personally. She got in touch with Harry Styles directly and told him what a special movie this was going to be. Thanks to her, the song was cleared in the 11th hour.
Because of that, it could be used in the film and became the official anthem of the entire Project Hail
