@MomodouTaal I really appreciate this post, and this thread. Someone once told me that indigenous people, (Muslims too), can agree with Marxist critique of Capitalism, but we are not necessarily Marxists. We do not have to live in a dichotomy of European philosophy.

I can understand why as a Muslim, you may be apprehensive about Marxism/Communism. Decades of anti-Communism, coupled with concerns about Marxism’s relationship to religion. (A tension that I feel can be worked through). But to be a Muslim and pro-capitalist? That’s wild to me.
