Der Privatkredit in Argentinien hat noch Potential. In Prozent zum BIP hat er sich zwar unter Milei schon fast verdoppelt aber es ist noch (viel) Luft nach oben. Die Hoffnung ist, durch die Steueramnestie auf heimliche Ersparnisse das Kreditvolumen vor allem auch in USD auszubauen. Dazu müssen aber zuerst die Regeln für die Banken gelockert werden. Diesen ist es bislang verboten, Fremdwährungskredite an Personen auszugeben, die nicht im Export selber Fremdwährung einnehmen. Was momentan passiert ist, dass diese Gelder, die von den Argentiniern unter ihren Matratzen hervorgeholt werden, in USD-Anlagen fließen oder im Geldkreislauf verwendet werden, um wertvollere Gegenstände, wie Wohnungen zu kaufen.
