Big row developing - we need @SadiqKhan@TfL to sort this. @OfficialOAFC & @SUFCRootsHall meet in the Play-Off Final next Sunday but because of engineering works there is a restriction on numbers as Wembley Park station will be closed. This is ludicrous
Dear @SadiqKhan@TheVanaramaNL@TfL
Oldham play Southend on June 1st at Wembley for a place back in the Football League. Both clubs have huge numbers who want to attend and support their team, just like Palace, City, Forest, Villa and Liverpool fans have this season without issue.
Because of engineering works the suggestion is a restriction on numbers as Wembley Park station will be closed. This is neither the fault of either club and the proposed cap on supporters, many of whom will be visiting Wembley for the first and maybe last time are being unfairly punished.
The record for a NL playoff final is 47,000. It's safe to say that without restrictions this record would be broken, but any cap would not only be unfair to supporters who don't often get the opportunity for a Wembley day out but would probably not be implemented would this be a Premier League or England national team game.
Clubs in the pyramid need every opportunity they can get to shine, compete and grow their supporter base and Wembley is always an opportunity to do so, along with stimulating support in the communities of Oldham and Southend respectively. Mr Mayor, as we have followed each other for some time on here, I'd be more than happy to set out a thousand reasons why it is important for both clubs to be fully represented at Wembley, and should only be afforded the same privilege as any club, namely to "fill the damn place".
National League and EFL clubs are hamstrung enough in this day and age where the top of the pyramid rules, I hope between you you could find a sensible solution to allow Oldham Athletic and Southend United supporters their day too.
Stan Collymore.

Look at this inspiring duo of runners! By the end of this week they will have clocked up around 100km each in support of #raceforrecipients Organ Donation. We are incredibly proud of their efforts! Well done boys!!

@DazWhitt Movement... needs more movement. If there's no movement there is no pass to play so it turns into hoof ball. More movement, more showing for the ball. Watch the players when we have the ball, or have a throwin, there's nothing #oafc
Seriously, still Hogan as a scapegoat !?
Bullied in midfield, outfought and tactically inept. What is Conlon !?Doesn’t show for the ball, is as mobile as Steve Whitehall and is so one footed it’s painful. Bad subs & bad recruitment. So, so much more wrong than Hogan #oafc
@oafcmemories My view was it was the first time this season we've taken care of the ball. We had it for large periods, which stopped them out footballing us. More cutting edge would have been nice, but small increments. Play like that and we'll win more than we lose #oafc
Special mention to @charlierag5 and @HallamHope for being good people today. Hallam cleared a ball which hit an old lady in the face in the Rochdale stand. Charlie was warming up and checked she was OK and Hallam came straight came over at HT whistle to apologise 👏 #oafc#rafc
Formations and 1 striker have been the feature this week. I'm not bothered if we play 1, 2 or 3 strikers, i'm not bothered if its 442, 433, 352 it's the defensive philosophy and tacttics that is the difference. Teams have played with false strikers and still scored more #oafc
Let's be positive today, on and off the field. Let's get behind the team and leave the negative, derogatory stuff until after the final whistle. Players and DU, give us something to get behind, something to shout and cheer about #oafc
@razza_699 Me and a few mates have said the same. Especially yesterday when there is a game in less than 48 hrs. Just very odd decision making. Should be a question asked of him by someone in the media #oafc
Against Southend, Halifax and Boreham Wood we've only used 2 out of 3 subs available in each game.
That screams 2 things to me.
1, The manager doesn't know how to change things
2, The manager doesn't trust his squad
2 of them games were losses too.
All very odd
#oafc
@JimOAFC85@JennyTither Many don't have faith in DU at the moment, i dont either but cannot be doing with the relentless abuse which some class as opinions. It must get to the players. Emotions are high. We are rapidly approaching a crossroads which I think could come as soon as tomorrow #oafc
@MattDean78@oafcphonein While it's a nice thought I remember being relatively successful (Dowie, Shez, Johnson) and it wasn't good enough for some. You're always going to have people who will want a better manager, better striker, better keeper. We all have to appreciate different opinions
Everyone will have a patience limit with DU and the current performances. Some ran out last season and some have already run out this srason. I said I would see where we are in 10 games and gave a bit of a free pass last season due to the choices in the squad #oafc
This week's measured assessments: Saturday, great! Clinical and full of energy. Tuesday wasn't terrible like Southend, just flat. Annoyingly, Halifax were very beatable, we didn't exploit the wide areas or move the ball fast enough. Attacking intent today please #oafc
@aaronhow177@Dalehadfield22 If the majority of people are after beer, mobile sellers with rucksacks would really help. I've seen these at other grounds and festivals or portable bar on wheels. Even pre pouring like they used to do in the lookers years ago #oafc
@Dalehadfield22@Stuartwright4 Only my personal experience but I got into the RRE about 2:15pm and the queue for a beer was crazy. Put me off I didn’t bother. Club missed out on probably £15 there couple of pints each for me and my dad. Doesn’t sound much but can’t imagine i’m the only one #oafc
@Stuartwright4 what’s the plan with boundary park? The club must be losing a fortune the kiosks queues in the ground are a joke waiting times put many of queuing to spend money. The fan bar capacity is a joke fans being turned away and told go to Clayton pub. #oafc
