@16NewsNow My husband, friends and I were stuck at Disney Land on the Water Raft Ride on California adventure going up. He walks with a walker because he had cerebral palsy. They did a wonderful job of getting him and the rest of us off and down the ride.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
A minibus carrying young women, ages 12-17, and leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was traveling to an activity in Maseru, Lesotho, when they were involved in a three-vehicle collision on Saturday, June 21, 2025. The vehicles caught fire, resulting in the loss of lives, including 10 Latter-day Saints, all from the Maputsoe congregation in Northern Lesotho. Nearly a dozen and a half others sustained injuries. Church members are rallying around those individuals and families impacted by the tragic accident and the Church is providing spiritual, emotional and temporal support. The Church also is working closely with the Government of Lesotho to coordinate care for the injured and is providing assistance to ensure that families are able to visit their loved ones who are currently hospitalized. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Two new statues have recently been added and are now part of the Temple Square experience. Visitors can see the “Joseph Smith Receives the Plates” statue on the southwest corner and the “Five Wise Virgins” statue west of the Relief Society Building. Inside the historic Salt Lake Temple, teams of artisans are working meticulously to restore the beauty of the sacred structure. From hand-painted ceilings to carefully gilded moldings, materials and techniques are being used to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the interior while also respecting the temple’s original design. Latter-day Saints consider temples the house of the Lord and the most sacred places of worship on earth. The primary purpose of temples is for faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ to participate in sacred ceremonies, such as marriages, which unite families forever, and proxy baptisms on behalf of deceased ancestors who did not have the opportunity to be baptized while living. The Prince and Princess of Wales
The Prince and Princess of Wales@KensingtonRoyal·
A message from Catherine, The Princess of Wales As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything. This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved. Doing what I can to stay cancer free is now my focus. Although I have finished chemotherapy, my path to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes. I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can. Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life. William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright. 🎬 by Will Warr
