In fact, it is a concept derived from the ideas of Antonio Gramsci, an Italian socialist politician of the 1920s. Gramsci realized Marx's vision of a worker's revolution was unrealistic and proposed the idea that educators should criticize cultural values and heritage as a way of attacking society little by little. This started in the universities back in the 1960s and finally blossomed into the woke thinking we have now.

@GRIT0DESAUDADE Because the UK treats music like culture, not just entertainment. They have strong local scenes, small venues that actually matter, national radio that breaks new artists and real respect for songwriting. And maybe the bad weather helps with the lyrics.
