A rate hike is still on the table. Inflation must come back to 2% and that will not change. - US debt levels are manageable today but the debt is growing much faster than the economy. That is a problem if it continues. - The Federal Reserve must stay completely free from political pressure. He warned the next Fed chair to never allow any government to use the Fed for political goals. - The US banking system is much stronger and safer today than it was before the 2008 financial crisis. - Artificial intelligence will eliminate some jobs but will also create new ones and improve living standards over time. - He is very optimistic about the long term future of the US economy.
