@PractOfDiogenes

Despite my name, philosophy is a casual thing for me. Should be obvious, I will very likely say something to piss you off, but is correct.

@reistellae I'd say gacha tourists instead. It's like having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and surprised it involves peanuts, fruit products, and bread.

@KitsuneroVT No, and you're not the only one I know that's been "pinned" for having colors of a "Flag". I know another vtuber that was accused of having colors of the transgender flag in her design. Her design is more based on things from the 80s and 90s. Look up "1990s taco bell".

@starswhispy Still one of the more interesting things from the CN livestream. The 30 minutes of VAs basically saying "thanks for playing Azur Lane" was another.

It's NIKKE Commander discourse all over again. The game literally addresses you as "the Commander." A self-insert doesn't need to be a completely blank-slate character for players to project themselves onto it. It's quite the opposite, the character actually NEEDS distinct traits that the player of the game in question can relate to or resonate with. If you dislike harems that much, why are you even playing Azur Lane? The game isn't subtle in the slightest about the fact that the shipgirls are in love with the Commander (i.e., you, the player). This guy could have an IQ over 200 and be an absolute strategic mastermind, but that doesn't change the fact that he's lecherous af; he's like a breeding bull.

@ZevenHusbando Fair enough xP I see SKK as his own character & I'm not into Harems so that's one reason why I ship characters ^^

@learning_yohei For the most part, it tends to be Spanish that's an American's second language. It's not every American's second language, though, it's just the most common. You'll see some's second language being German, Japanese, French, or one of the Chinese ones. Others are more rare.

@EternalStarLion @Ratto7R Sir, it was hyperbolic anyway. I just want USS Barb to be UR, given she was fitted to have weapons not seen on subs at the time, and Lucky Flucky used tactics very rare for submariners. There's also the fact about the locomotive.

@PractOfDiogenes @Ratto7R there won't be a UUR and anyone who suggest another higher rarity needs to stfu There's no need for Azur lane to add another rarity, UR is more than enough

@NIKKE_en So, nothing about Rouge's gacha outfit's face still looking like playdoh, nothing about the Stellar Blade outfit problem, nothing about expanding how the lobby works in context of different poses... Also, unless "long awaited" is Rian or Torpedo Tits, don't care.

Putting In-N-Out and Burger King above Whataburger? Even from a classic burger standpoint, In-N-Out is mediocre. I hereby revoke @EmberAmane 's Texan status. Wendy's is, at best, on par, if just right under. Shame @JucysHamburgers isn't there, belongs in SSS tier.

@pureMetatron While I am Protestant, I see Catholics and Orthodox as Christians. After all, I see "John 10:16" beyond the scope of Gentiles and Jews. It's Witnesses and Mormons I look at and go "Neither of you see God as the sole, single deity."

Since I publicly said I’m going to raise my child Christian, people have been leaving comments that look like this. Make sure he is protestant, Catholics aren’t Christians. Make sure he is Catholic, only Catholics are Christians. And every other flavor. I’m gonna say it bluntly. If you believe Jesus is God and you believe He was resurrected, you’re a Christian. I don’t care which version. Still fits the definition. The doctrinal differences on everything else could make you right or wrong on doctrine, but you are still a Christian no matter if Orthodox, Catholic and ALL the rest. The idea of denominational exclusivity whereby ONLY your single version makes you a Christian is SATANIC and of the Devil. He wants to push people away from considering themselves Christians. The Lord wants us all to come to Him. I’m NOT willing to change my mind on this view.

@pureMetatron Even when I was kid, I never heard or seen "Oriental" as a negative thing. It was just always used as a word for something from a sophisticated Asian culture, it be Chinese, Japanese, or Korean (normally Chinese, though). It wasn't wielded offensively.

We’ve never stopped using it in romance languages. There is nothing wrong with the term in Italian, Spanish, French etc and is used in academic publications too. I’ve always wondered how in English it has supposedly become this frowned upon “racist” term. Did people in America really use it in a disparaging way? For me, in my language, the term orientale is not just neutral, but it comes with a small nuance of mystery, exotic and cool, whether you use it to describe an object, a concept or a person from East Asia.
Kangmin Lee | 이강민@kangminlee

As an Asian, I believe we should revive the usage of the term "Oriental" to distinguish East Asians from South Asians, Arabs, and other races in Asia Everyone knows we're extremely different, yet we're lumped together simply because we share the same continent

@savipww It's honestly moments like this that makes me smile, as it highlights the reality that video games can help those that are still struggling from events in their life that they couldn't quite heal on their own.

PRAGMATA helped dad survive the loss of his daughter > 55yo dad tragically lost his 8yo daughter McKenzie in 2009 > he stopped gaming for 30y until his 2nd daughter Ella introduced him to Fortnite to help him cope > they recently discovered Capcom's new game Pragmata featuring a little android girl named Diana > Ella noticed the character looks and acts exactly like old pictures of her late sister > he bought the game and says playing it with his youngest daughter is literally "therapeutic for my soul" > Reddit post went insanely viral and the Pragmata director personally thanked him on X people complain about graphics and framerates all day on the internet this guy just used a video game to spend a little more time with the daughter he lost this is why we play full reddit thread in replies
Dexerto@Dexerto

A 55-year-old dad shared how Pragmata's character Diana helped remind him of his 8-year-old daughter who died in 2009 “I absolutely love this game and the time Ella spends with me. PRAGMATA is therapeutic for my soul”

@pureMetatron Let's not forget that BCE/CE still uses the exact same numbers as BC/AD, and the numbers associated with both are based on the exact same thing. So, saying you don't use BC/AD because you're atheist doesn't work if you're using BCE/CE instead.

I saw a guy in my comments say he refuses to use AD with dates because “Jesus is not his God”, because he is atheist, so he says CE. By that logic then should we tell him that Thor is his god now because he says Thursday? Odin is his god because he surely says Wednesday. BCE/CE is an indefensible clown-show, no matter how you slice it, it’s a useless variant. BC/AD is and always will be the most apt.
