Also, the spurs did have great teams around TD but don’t get it twisted. He was always a key part of each. But I’m not here to debate that, this post is 03 specifically.

2003 Duncan had the weakest supporting cast of any championship superstar with the possible exception of 94 Hakeem (and I’d argue that team was underrated). It’s weird how that isn’t treated as this major feather in Duncan’s cap. It’s just another in his pile of rings.

@whateverbs99 Tim Duncan was the leader in almost every stat, in every game of this playoff run. It is one of the greatest single player carry jobs in NBA history, and that’s no disrespect to TP, Manu, and Robinson. TD was just that great.

@whateverbs99 For anyone saying this team was stacked, please look back at these games. In the finals series TP shot 38% from the field, Stephen Jackson 37%, manu 34%, WASHED UP Robinson was his most reliable scorer at 10pts 61%! None of the big 3 except TD was as good as later years.
