This is a huge one for Odisha! Forest clearance has been granted for the Puri International Airport. The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has given In-Principle (Stage-I) Forest Clearance for the construction of the Shree Jagannath International Airport in Puri, Odisha. This brings the project a big step closer to reality.

Double good news for Puri. While the Puri International Airport has received forest clearance, the ₹500 crore cruise terminal project has also gained momentum. Strategically located near the upcoming Puri International Airport at Sipasarubali, the cruise terminal will significantly enhance connectivity and place Puri on the global cruise tourism map.
