Yesterday, February 14th, should have been a day filled with joy and celebration as my dad turned 60. Instead of gathering the whole family for new photos, laughter, and cake, I could only pull out an old picture from healthier, happier times when he was strong, full of life, and still carrying us all on his shoulders. Seeing that photo next to the reality of his condition right now broke something inside me. Dad is fighting so hard every single day against this brain tumor. The pain is getting worse, the tumor keeps growing, and watching him suffer quietly at home unable to do the simple things he used to love has been the hardest thing our family has ever faced. We were hoping to give him the gift of surgery for his 60th, but we're still so far from the ₦20 million needed.
