Do you know when my view of Messi as a person changed? When I realized he was aware of the racist chants from Argentinian fans and never used his influence to ask them to stop. He's the kind of person who should have that moral authority. The only Argentinian who had the power to do it, but he didn't. I remember a match in Brazil where racist chants sparked a public brawl in the stands. I remember Messi publicly condemning police violence against Argentinians... but he remained silent about the racist chants. He played the victim. Messi is a coward.
