Aditya was 20 and I was 21 when we stepped into garment manufacturing. We are first-generation entrepreneurs no family legacy, no shortcuts, just a dream to build something of our own in India. In the beginning, nothing came easy. Clients didn’t take us seriously, workers doubted us, and we lost many orders before they even began. We made mistakes, spent too long in B2B, and faced setbacks that almost broke us. But every rejection pushed us to fight harder. The joy of our very first domestic order, and later our very first overseas order, still feels fresh and that same fire drives us every single day. Starting young had its pros and cons, but it taught us to take risks, to keep learning, and to never give up. Step by step,we turned doubt into trust and challenges into growth. Today, we are proud of what we’ve built. But this is just the beginning. Our dream is much bigger in the future, we want to enter into more areas of manufacturing and build an ecosystem that gives India the global manufacturing power it truly deserves. Because for us, this journey isn’t just about business. It’s about proving that first-gen entrepreneurs can rise, and when they do, India rises with them. 🇮🇳

We are intentionally building through marketplaces first. At this stage, our focus is to understand real customer behavior what they buy, what they return, what actually works on different body types, and what doesn’t. Marketplaces give us access to a large, high-intent audience without burning heavy capital on ads. More importantly, they give us honest feedback at scale through reviews, returns, and repeat purchases. That’s our reality check. Instead of guessing, we’re using this phase to refine our products, pricing, and positioning with real data. Once we’ve nailed product-market fit and built strong-performing styles, we’ll layer brand-building and owned channels on top. We’re not avoiding brand building we’re making sure when we build it, it’s backed by clarity, not assumptions.

For the first time, a private-sector company delivered indigenously manufactured Light Machine Guns to the Indian Armed Forces not a prototype, not a pilot, but 2,000 battle-ready Prahar LMGs. These weapons were designed, manufactured, and tested entirely in Bharat, and are now in the hands of the soldiers who defend the nation. The company behind this is Adani Defence & Aerospace.

A few days ago, we experienced something that tested us. We were in the final stage for a government grant. Everything was in place strong numbers, a working prototype, clear vision. The meeting went really well. We walked out confident that we had it. But then, things changed. Another startup without numbers or a prototype got selected. For a moment, it felt unfair. We questioned what more we could have done. Then we reflected. Maybe the game is bigger than what we see. Maybe decisions are not made only on numbers. Maybe there are factors we don’t fully understand yet. Here’s what we learned: Doing the right work is in our control. The outcome is not. Not getting something doesn’t mean we are not good enough. If it comes, it’s good. If it doesn’t, we keep moving.

This morning, I was reading Chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita. One thought stayed with me. “Have courage. Stay humble. Do your duty without attachment.” Life tested this. Some years ago, Shri Jaiprakash Gaur, who built Jaypee Group, came to meet me in London. He had built an empire over his lifetime with hard work and vision. He reached out more than once. He wrote to me. His only wish was simple that what he had built should go into safe hands and be taken forward with the right intent. He even wrote me letters in Hindi, in his own words, expressing his trust. At that time, we could not proceed. Recently, the asset went into a public auction by CoC in the IBC process. Many strong bidders participated. Suddenly, the sentiment and wishes of Jaiprakash Gaur ji came rushing back to me. One by one, everyone dropped out of the bidding. Finally, we were declared the highest bidder publicly. It was a transparent process. We were informed in writing that we had won. But life is never so simple. After some days, the decision was changed. Don’t want to go into the details. That is for the right forum. But I want to share something from my heart. We have no attachment to this asset. If it comes, it is God’s grace. If it goes, that is also his wish. But one thing we believe strongly. When something is promised in dharma, it should not be taken back. In our scriptures also, we see this again and again. Truth, commitment, and fairness are above everything. So, what should one do? Gita gives a simple answer - do your duty, with courage, but without anger or attachment. That is what we will do. We will place the facts in the right way. We will follow the right path. Rest, I leave to God.

@Rishhari Myntra is a very genuine platform for scaling. Without ads, organic growth can reach around 180 orders, but not much beyond that.

I read the autobiography of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam Sir a few years back. He predicted that India would become a developed nation by 2020. I think our generation isn’t working hard enough.

We have no safety net, yet we are taking risks & scaling every single day. The mindset we started with is to build a business for generations not just to raise funds, exit, and chase vanity milestones. Now we’re placing orders with large factory hubs in Sitapura, Jaipur.

Swapnil is genuinely one of the kindest people I know. Whenever I’ve had even the slightest doubt, I’ve reached out to him and he’s always given raw, honest advice. We followed it, and it worked. Grateful to have a mentor like him. I truly hope Kidbea scales massively.

🚨 Excited to share that @kidbeaofficial has raised ₹30 Cr in Series A. What started as a mission to make kidswear safer and truly sustainable has now grown into something much bigger. From bamboo-based essentials to building a conscious parenting movement. The love and trust from parents across India has been incredible. Grateful to our investors, customers, and team for believing in this journey! 💚 Onwards to building a billion dollar brand and beyond. 🙌💫
