TBPN has been acquired by OpenAI! The show is staying the same and we’ll continue to go live at 11am pacific every weekday. This is a full circle moment for me as I’ve worked with @sama for well over a decade. He funded my first company in 2013. Then helped us fix a serious logjam during a critical funding round a few years later. When I took my second company through YC, he was president at the time, and then when I joined Founders Fund, the first deal I saw in motion was the post-ChatGPT round in late 2022. And as we started growing TBPN last year, he was the very first lab lead to join the show. Thank you to everyone that has been a part of TBPN until now. The last year has been the most fun and rewarding part of my career and we’re excited to have more resources than ever going forward.

@bgurley I use Superhuman. I agree that these emails have ramped up massively but I am able to auto filter them into one split email box and keep them out of my main one. Then I go in daily and delete 10 of them. I don’t even read them because it’s so obvious what they are

I fear that AI has decimated the traditional email inbox as we know it. Too many personalized emails slip through spam filter. Hope someone builds a better mousetrap. This one is cooked in its current form.

Playbook for building a legendary company:
- Bring together an outlier team
- Have that team come up with a novel and compelling insight
- Turn that insight into a product or service offering and iterate that offering until it has a compelling value proposition
- Turn that compelling value proposition into a unique one
- Take all of those already hard ingredients and weave them into an economic engine that has a sustainable competitive advantage
- Do all the above again and again, so the company can compound growth at scale
None of these are easy. But if it was easy, everyone would do it.
