@ZerovsNight It works if you are mounted on a Pal. If you want a non-mounted attacking Pal not to kill, you need the Mercy Hit passive skill.

Palworld Quick Tip! You can get the Pal Tamer's Glasses at coordinates (8, 121). This item combines the Mercy Ring and Ability Glasses into one! It lets you safely reduce a Pal’s health to improve its capture rate without fear of accidentally killing it(unless you have a Fire DoT effect active) and also allows you to see their power levels.
