My Lakers have an uphill battle going against the reigning World Champions OKC and SGA, who in my mind was the MVP of the First Round of the Playoffs! To beat OKC, we have to find a way to not turn the ball over as much as we did against the Rockets and play great on both ends of the floor - so who’s going to step up and provide scoring to help LeBron and Austin? One thing we all know is OKC can score the basketball, so the Lakers are going to have to play some of their best basketball!

On Inside the NBA, @ShamsCharania confirmed Luka’s progress remains the same and he’s expected to be out to start the OKC series. He’s now about a month removed from the initial hamstring injury, and looking back on it, I do wonder if he could’ve progressed further by staying in LA and rehabbing directly with the Lakers training staff. The stem cell route clearly didn’t give LA the accelerated timeline many were hoping for. Not saying it was the wrong decision, but the results are the results. No full scrimmages. No clear timetable. Still not ready to start the series. Now the Lakers have to find a way to survive the early part of this OKC matchup without Luka and hope he can ramp up as the series goes on.
