In China, it does not end at the port of entry , foreigners are also subject to accommodation registration with police within 24 hours, and reporting shows tech-assisted surveillance can track people beyond the airport through cameras all around the country. The real question for @HomeAffairsSA @Leon_Schreib @TheBMA_SA @GovernmentZA is what happens after entry: how do you know where people live, whether they overstayed, or whether they disappeared into the country? Screening at the border means very little if there is no serious post-entry tracking system.
