Football clubs and schools etc looking at laying a 3G pitch should be aware that the use of rubber crumb in the make up of the pitch is being banned in 2031 all across the whple of european union countries. The UK will follow imo.

Love this sort of post. The stuff players do like cutting the feet of their socks, cutting holes in the calf’s a of their socks. Collar up, Vaseline on their chest, stupid hair cuts and stupid multi colours boots but don’t wear whites laces liner . 🤦‍♂️

@Finners009 @EPLBible He controls, turns his body and then delivers the ball. Knowing it went out of play and therefore is expecting a whistle. It’s a silly second yellow. No two ways about it. Nothing to do with the officiating. Ref has applied the law

@Prell88 The player who was subbed off but didn’t leave the field was the one who scored the goal. He then left the field after he scored the goal.

3 points today featuring a bizarre incident where the opposition scored a goal with 12 players on the pitch as a player didn’t leave the pitch when subbed and then proceeded to score the goal. Confusion ensued; the goal stood. Ultimately no harm done, but what’s the rule? 🤷‍♂️

@Prell88 @owenradley Absolutely. The intent wasn’t to criticise officials or decisions. It was to reflect on the wider challenge non-league faces around conditions, welfare and expectations. Officials are put in a difficult position far too often.

Yesterday was one of the few games deemed safe to play. The pitch was extremely hard — you could hear studs on it, and players were feeling it, even changing boots mid-game. A reminder that player welfare isn’t always black and white at this level…..

@jimbo_ @owenradley With that in mind, (and assuming your regular pitch inspecting official passed it in the morning before the match referee did) does a post like this help?

@owenradley Completely agree — that pressure is real and it’s unhealthy for the game. Welfare decisions shouldn’t be influenced by fear of backlash. That’s something non-league still needs to get better at collectively.

What am I hearing. £100 plus game one player £150 for another, one offered £250 a game! At step 6! Not even a side at top. Madness.

Final @TheSCFL game of the year for me done. @LancingFC fighting their way to a deserved point against @RoffeyFC. Genuinely a pleasure to ref, both teams excellent! 👏
