In the U.K., if you earn £148k, you earn LESS, after tax, than if you earn £99.99k This is no joke. Here’s why Going over £100k earnings mean losing access to tax-free childcare & personal allowance The marginal cost of a £1k payrise from £99k to £100k is almost £20k. If you're a parent with two kids in nursery, you’d need to earn £149k just to take home the same amount as someone on £99k. That’s a 50% raise just to stay the same, after tax Do you know how damaging this kind of nonsense is: 1. Growth & success in the U.K. is penalised  2. People are putting off having kids  3. Companies are using A.I & not hiring staff  4. More high earners are leaving the country  WHY on earth are we penalising growth in this country?

If a major attack took place in Britain do you think the British Government would be devious enough to do it as a false flag in order to start a war with Russia?

@benonwine Yeah, do a deal with Russians for lots of dosh, AirTag all the heavy armour, let them blow it all up, back home in a week and spend the cash knowing I prevented a nuclear war. Got to make a profit same as all the other corporate sponsors.

@AllisonPearson I’d sign up, after doing a deal with Russia to location track heavy armour, get it over and done with and back home with the £££”s and smug knowledge that I stopped a nuclear war 🤣

Nobody’s sons and daughters will rally to fight Russia, as Defence chiefs seem to think. White working-class lads for so long our warriors and defenders have been reviled by the woke leftist middle classes. UK will have to be defended by Gary Lineker and a few comedians.

@MarxEngelsLnin It’s why the media never say “ukraine”s war with Russia” and just put “The war with Russia”. The programming started a while ago. Just wait till the stories of incubators and babies come out, just like the justification for war with Iraq.

The target of this hysteria is not really the Russians. The British establishment know very well that they can't fight a war against the Russians and expect to do anything other than lose. The target of this propaganda is all of us. It is the desperate attempt by a failing, flailing and despised elite group to justify its rule by manufacturing an external threat. It was the same in the period of the "cold war", the main target of NATO, Gladio operations and other psy-war actions is the domestic working class. It is about controlling us and trying to rally us behind our class enemies flag. Do not fall for it. Our enemy sits in London, not Moscow or Beijing.

When the war drums start beating the thinking stops. We in the UK are currently being subjected to a British establishment campaign -- coordinated, organised, and deployed -- to prepare us for war with Russia. They want this war, they need this war for their own class interests. The rest of us don't need it, so their objective is to make us feel that we do. The Putin is a monster hysteria has been ramped up accordingly. 'A nation of sheep will beget a government of wolves.'

@ryanjacko2691 @AntiEVidiots @Mrtnvrbst @tommuk00 @ListerLawrence Last year we cycled LeJog for charity, transport/backup car was my Tesla Y LR with a bike trailer. Nominated driver was 82yo. Over 2k miles, no issues charging at any point. Only issue was car auto locked with keycard inside. Mobile app sorted that.

@AntiEVidiots @Mrtnvrbst @tommuk00 @ListerLawrence EV’s are definitely no use for long journeys, imagine take one up the top end of Scotland where there is next to no charging, I went to Invergarry last week and didn’t see a single charger once I got off the m8, what do you do then ??

@MartinSLewis Mileage abroad deducted? 5k miles in Uk, 5k miles abroad, charged on 10k or 5k? If 5K how is that logged? Is 3p added and business mileage claim so that’s 11p inc 3p?

@keith_bays If the mileage goes off MOT does that mean if I drive 5k miles in UK and 5K miles abroad I still get charged on full 10k? How are new cars charged with no MOT for first 3 years? Well thought out as usual.

Wow. Drive 10,000 miles a year in an EV and you’ll now pay £300 for the privilege. Incredible way to discourage people from going electric. 🚗 #Budget2025 #GBNews

@sashayanshin That 3p per mile is in addition to the 195 quid annual car tax, plus the range tax as decent range costs money and takes it over 40k (now 50k if what I’ve read is correct). Back to diesels for us and higher per mile business expense. 2ltr A3 s-line 20 quid a year car tax?

The UK has just introduced a per-mile tax for driving your car. To start with it’s just 3p per mile and just for electric cars. Going to visit your family who live 3 hours away will now cost you £10 extra every time. But then it will obviously become 5p and then 10p and then £1 all in the name of “saving the environment”. And then it’s won’t just be electric cars, but every car on the road. This won’t take long either. Just watch. “Yes, you do have freedom of movement, but your trip to Nottingham to see your elderly parents will cost you £300 in tax”. An entirely backward policy that stifles conversion to electric, penalises people who live in rural parts of the UK, and adds another Big Brother lens watching your every move. Rich people driving 5 miles from Mayfair to meet friends at the restaurant = negligible tax. Regular people living in north England driving 100 miles a day to do 2x school runs and get to/from work will just have to find £15 a week in extra tax from the magic money tree. Another policy that shows the Government is out of ideas.

@Jenny_1884 MPs & gov are employed by the public. There needs to be an oversight committee, members selected at random same as jury duty, but from tax payers. They would hold gov accountable and have the power to force a GE if gov deemed to have broken promises on which they were elected

We were told that our pension age was increasing to 67yrs because it was no longer sustainable & yet these same people are now paying out £billions to people that have not paid a penny into this country. If that’s not bad enough they expect us to now find even more money in the next budget because they’ve got no money left. How does this Government not understand why this is so wrong on so many levels & that we are not happy with this. It’s time that this government listened to the people & start putting us first for a change. These politicians couldn’t care less about the people they govern because they are only in it for themselves. It’s time this government were made accountable for what they are doing.
