I’m thrilled to be a part of what’s shaping up to be a powerhouse team at @AmericanFreedom.
Richard A. Stern@RichAStern

I’m honored to be joining @AmericanFreedom as VP of the Plymouth Institute for Free Enterprise, where my team and I will be excited to champion the values that have defined America. Much of what has made America great first took root at Plymouth Colony in the 1620s: • A bold, pioneering spirit • Personal devotion to God and family • Self-government and the consent of the governed • The seeds of constitutionalism and the Rule of Law • Property rights and economic freedom Over the four centuries since, these ideals became a beacon to the world—from the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution to the liberation of Europe and Ronald Reagan’s “Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall” speech. Yet American freedom has also lived in the quiet dignity of individuals, families, pastors, farmers, and business owners pursuing what they feel called to do. To keep this freedom and our nation thriving, the American people must carry its torch, and the federal government must remain constrained by the Constitution. At AAF, we will advance this vision as we look forward to celebrating the 250th anniversary of America’s independence!

It’s great to hear these two voices which have been sorely missed. Adding light in a pretty dark moment for conservatism since Charlie Kirk’s voice was silenced. One piece of unsolicited advice. Add more physical light. If the podcast isn’t going to have the dim outlook on America that so many podcasts today have, it shouldn’t share their characteristically dim aesthetic.

I’m happy to present Episode One of The Jeremy Boreing Show with my dear friend @DennisPrager. The absence of Dennis’s voice these last 16 months — and the voices of @jordanbpeterson and, of course, @charliekirk11 — has left an enormous hole in the moral and intellectual architecture of the conservative movement. We’re all paying the price. It has never been my ambition to have a podcast. I spent the last decade building and living the life I wanted, and the last year dealing with the loss of that life. But I am happy to have this vehicle for participating in the great conversation taking place in our culture. And whether our show grows huge or remains small, I’ll use it to say what I believe is true and to honor the great men who have inspired me on my path. Welcome to The Jeremy Boreing Show. The Future Belongs to Those Who Build It. youtube.com/watch?v=Wi7Ay5…

@Antunes1 @nikitabier It’s good for X users and X apparently made the call it’s good for their business. Great. Being able to monetize content across borders isn’t exactly a core part of freedom of speech.

@nikitabier I get why US based people might see this as a win. But how about US citizens living abroad? How about legitimate international creators? How about people from countries with little to no user base? This is bad for free speech. (Respectfully)

Starting Thursday, we'll be updating our revenue sharing incentives to better reward the content we want on X: We will be giving more weight to impressions from your home region—to encourage content that resonates with people in your country, in neighboring countries and people who speak your language. While we appreciate everyone's opinion on American politics, we hope this will disincentivize gaming the attention of US or Japanese accounts and instead, drive diverse conversations on the platform. We invite creators to start building an audience locally. X will be a much richer community when there's relevant posts for people in all parts of the world.

As a Christian, there are things in this thread I agree with and others I disagree with. In terms of Christians’ connection to Judaism, I agree that for must of us it should be stronger than it is. Christianity’s roots are in Judaism. It’s unfortunate that most Christians don’t have a stronger foundation in the Torah/Old Testament. Jesus was Jewish. The Christian faith is can’t be fully understood and appreciated without Old Testament grounding. As you alluded to, the misguided notion that God’s redemptive plan for the Jewish people ended 2,000 years ago doesn’t square with the Bible, especially Romans 11. Paul warned against the wild olive shoots being arrogant toward the branches. With that said, I disagree with some of your history. Jesus said he didn’t come to abolish the law but to fulfill it. His fulfillment of the law changed things. When Paul talked about the law in Romans, he explained how part of the purpose of the law is to show us our sinfulness and need of a savior. The sacrificial system and the blood of animals was never sufficient to atone for sins, it all pointed to Jesus, God’s atonement for sin. For the Christian, the Torah and the rest of the Old Testament teach us about God’s character, his moral law, his desire for our lives, etc. We believe that all scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. But certain commands such as most dietary restrictions, circumcision, ceremonial cleaning, etc. are viewed as commands for a specific people at a specific time. In the book of Acts, Paul warns against burdening Gentile converts with an expectation that they follow the whole of the Old covenant. My point is that early Christians (Second Temple era) didn’t live fully as Jewish. The distinction between Christianity and Judaism may have widened under Constantine, but it didn’t start there. I appreciate your perspective about God’s high standard that we can’t perfectly meet ourselves. And I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment that supposed Christians who use Christ’s name to vilify and persecute Jews are acting wickedly.

9/ Thus, I believe in a Jewish faith, and I firmly believe that faith is not about religion—it is about God, the God of Israel, who does not change. His Torah and commandments still stand. God’s commandments reveal a standard so high that, as human beings, we cannot possibly fulfill it perfectly because of our sinful nature. This is why we need repentance, and why we need atonement. Using faith in Jesus as a means to persecute the Jewish people is unrighteous and evil.

🧵THREAD: Christianity and its Jewish Roots. 1/
Christianity did not begin as a new religion. Jesus Christ was Jewish—born into Israel, raised in Torah, teaching in synagogues. He never said: “Start a new religion.”
He spoke within the covenant given to Israel.

@AFpost Real data isn’t perfectly linear. Are we supposedto believe that the number of new members of the Catholic Church fell by exactly 5,250 every year for 20 years, then rose by exactly 18,000 every year for 5 years?

Catholic converts in the US have reached a near 20-year high, with Catholics on track to become the largest single religious group, surpassing American Evangelical Protestants. Protestants as a whole will likely still outnumber Catholics, but the trend suggests the US may be entering a new era of religious leadership. Follow: @AFpost

On this date in 1748, a slave-trader was converted on the Atlantic Ocean. Near the end of his life, John Newton said: “Although my memory is fading, I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.” Thank God for amazing grace.

I almost feel sorry for him. I remember how I strayed from church hurt born of legalism and fundamentalism into what was essentially progressive Christianity, though I wasn't smart enough to see it at the time. But eventually, they tore down the Bible, undermined it, etc. And eventually, I sadly believed that it was up to us to decide what parts were real and what weren't. Of course, anyone on that kind of weak "foundation" eventually ends up with nothing solid that matters. So my faith weakened, I drifted, I eventually started studying other religions, until I was to the point of sitting in my study and mediating and trying to find enlightenment through Buddhism. Thank the Lord, God Almighty Himself, that He was merciful to me and didn't smite me down, as I so rightly deserved. Thank the Lord that He gave me a second chance. And that I would once again approach the Bible to read it fresh, almost as a skeptic, with no preconceived notions. And I am sooo, sooo thankful that I now have his Word. That I've had my eyes opened. That I now walk with Him in security and have been fully activated and get to enjoy the truly Good News. I know that what Mr. Talarico is standing on will eventually crumble under him. And while many spew hatred and venom at him (perhaps rightly) for what he's doing to the Gospel and the Word of God, I know that I once did the same, much to my great shame now. It is easy to be deceived, to think all that college you took has made you wise. I know I sure thought I knew everything. And to learn that actually, many of those folks wearing overalls and carrying ninety-year-old Bibles, who mis-pronounce some of those big words, they're the ones with the faith. They're the ones that have the great gift from God. Anyway, sorry I hijacked your post. Just getting stuff off my chest, and I am a writer. lol

The fake Gospel of Thomas (not written by Thomas, written much later) doesn’t seem very feminist to me, James. “Simon Peter said to them, ‘Mary should leave us, for females are not worthy of life.’ Jesus said, ‘See, I am going to attract her to make her male so that she too might become a living spirit that resembles you males. For every female (element) that makes itself male will enter the kingdom of heaven.” -The (fake) Gospel of Thomas
Protestia@Protestia

Texas senate hopeful James Talarico uses the gnostic 'Gospel of Thomas' to prove that Jesus was a feminist, offering that men must not be male, but must be female, and vice versa.
