@SandyofCthulhu Before my local Krispy Kreme was blown up, I watched them literally make donuts and they would go straight into the trash from the conveyor belt. Their business model is the problem. No need for a donut shop to be open all day making donuts.

I'm not defending Krispy Kreme for making too many donuts, but I assume it's not always easy to predict what you'll need. But consider: If Krispy Kreme kept the donuts till the next day, they'd be stale. If Krispy Kreme gave away the donuts free that night, then who would buy them? If Krispy Kreme donated them to shelters and homeless, then they'd be liable if anything went wrong, in the litigious society we now have. It's lose-lose for Krispy Kreme. That said, I am not actually a fan of Krispy Kremes. I prefer the many mom-and-pop donut shops I used to patronize in Texas, which in keeping with Texas law, were all run by Koreans.

Back then, he championed hoodies as a symbol of unity against stereotypes, but here he's telling the kids to ditch theirs for that "presentable" vibe.
