On this day, exactly 15 years ago, in 2008, I was 29 years old and deeply depressed. I told him that tomorrow was my birthday, and "the secret" hadn't worked for me. He asked, "What secret?" I explained that at the age of 20, I had promised myself that I would become a millionaire by the time I turned 30. I was sad because I wasn't even close. He looked at me and laughed, saying, "Well, Sekuru, you are eating a $14 billion pizza!" That's when it hit me: Manifestation requires specificity. I hadn't been specific about what type of "millionaire" I wanted to become. The universe had played a wicked trick in that life lesson. The value of my conviction was merely the pound in my pocket, worth millions in useless money. I had not been specific! Five years ago today, Fresh in a Box was only four days old, I was broke, in a new marriage, and had a 14-day-old baby. I was sitting with my brother Rufaro, wondering how on earth we would fulfill the 65 orders that had come in via WhatsApp for a business we never thought would receive more than five orders a day.
