@PricklyEmu It's really tough when they won't talk. If you feel strong enough, make a plan. You don't have to go through with it, but writing things down could help. Can you stay on in the house or would you want to find somewhere new? Will you need to apply for benefits-that sort of thing.

My husband is SO impatient with our kids. The house feels like he’s perpetually angry. And any time I raise something he either says nothing at all, or blames the kids. I think he was patented very strictly(80’s/90’s) and huge expectations were placed on him as the eldest

@PricklyEmu I ended up staying for 3 years longer than I should. In the end, I had to write it all in a letter, as talking would have ended up in him being defensive and making it all my fault. Would he read a letter?

I told him I wanted a divorce last summer. His response ‘I don’t think things are that bad.’ Never said anything about it since. I don’t have the capacity to leave. I don’t know what to do.

Recently I’ve made a sort of living photo of spring flowers on my garden steps to help my brain through very dark times. Voles live under the steps & pop up when I put seeds out & a wren visits every day. There’s also a small owl. Hopefully this photo will lift your mood too x🌿
