Virginia students see through Glenn Youngkin’s platitudes. His education policy plays politics with students lives, and GenZ is going to hold him accountable.

Gov. Youngkin is only interested in speaking in platitudes, not addressing the real concerns of parents and students in Virginia.

Even if a parent supports their student's gender identity, that wouldn't be enough for a school to recognize a student's correct pronouns and names. Youngkin's guidance is a license to discriminate in our schools, no matter how many platitudes he talks in

“Your transgender policies require students play on the sports teams and use the restrooms that correspond with their sex assigned at birth. . Look at me, I am a transgender man. Do you think the girls in my high school would feel comfortable sharing a restroom with me? “

28 percent of Queer youth experience housing insecurity at some point in their lives. We didn't get to ask a question at the #CNNTownhall. But if we did, we'd ask why Glenn Youngkin wants to out every Queer student, regardless of how safe it is for them?

As Youngkin talks to a national audience about his education record, let's remember how he treats Queer students. He wants to: ❌ Forcibly out students ❌ Implement a trans bathroom ban ❌ Misgender and deadname students Students are fighting back. Retweet if you're with us.
