1/2 For a second year running, TPT and @Priestley_Smith School helped Year-13 students get job-search ready. Pupils from the specialist school for children with a vision impairment took part in the joint project that simulated each stage in securing a job

Are you in Birmingham? Is your child in year 11-13? Are you thinking about your child's future and have you considered an apprenticeship?  It's National Apprenticeship next week so why not explore their options with them? eventbrite.co.uk/e/apprenticesh…

What a lovely last few days with our amazing Headteacher Helen Porter as she retires. Children, staff & guests enjoyed a farewell celebration with @Orchestra_Swan & bouncy castles! She has chatted to children & staff and her office has been full of flowers, gifts and cards.

@Seaofchangefilm Again, we are aware of people with vision impairments experiencing collisions and falls as a result of the e-scooters. They are abandoned in the most unlikely places and are causing enormous anxiety

We’re all in favour of cleaner air and healthy bodies, but this, combined with the silent but deadly e-scooters makes parts of Birmingham no go for vision impaired people. Pavements are for people.
Seaofchangefilm@Seaofchangefilm

So with #Birmingham trying to reduce the dominance of the car by allowing hire bikes to operate, they have now made it more hazardous to get around the city for pedestrians. Bikes blocking pavements & creating trip hazards. Needs to be paused. Filmed Sunday 13/06/21 #CleanAirDay

Year 13 students were put through their paces today doing mock interviews with Gareth & Jeff from Thomas Pocklington Trust. Interview skills are really important, and joint projects like this with TPT are key preparations for adulthood. Thanks TPT! @TPTgeneral
