@PrimalNudist

Autistic. Free spirit. Nudist. Just rocking life completely naked. Unapologetically cocky and authentic. What you see is what you get.

Hi everyone! I’m Streaker. I live an unconventional lifestyle that I know some will find strange, but for me, it’s a necessity. I choose to be a nudist because I have autism and clothes are a total sensory nightmare, restrictive, hot, and irritating. Shedding the layers is how I find my peace and the most authentic version of myself.

Dude, you have serious issues. I no longer think you're a pretentious asshole. I think you're actually fucking crazy. You have just replied over a hundred times. That's not normal behaviour pal, that's weirdly obsessive. I had to block you for a bit because my inbox was getting inundated by your replies. I actually think you might need help. No one gets like this over a video game opinion. Please get yourself checked in, i'm not even joking or being mean.

@AprilSamuraii I'm camera shy, but I could easily talk about Sonic Frontiers without mentioning online reputation.

@DarkEnzo0309 See, thats the BIG issue with the music compared to mick. This was complete coincidence. It was not synced trust me. Mick actually did conduct his soundtrack like it was a movie as it ebbed and flowed WITH the game. DA, the music just playes when combat starts.

@ZazMan117 @DarkEnzo0309 Bro, I think you're a little too invested in this. You've written over 60 posts in a response to what was otherwise a casual opinion. Touch some grass. This is getting sad now.

@PrimalNudist @DarkEnzo0309 If you need space, you must use movement, falters, explosives weak point breaks or enemy routing. That is a more active form of scarcity than walking over a box of shells in a hallway. “Every shot matters, retreats and secrets feel vital.” Every shot does not always matter in CD

@PrimalNudist @DarkEnzo0309 This is one of the laziest criticisms because it mistakes tonal exaggeration for betrayal DOOM has always been absurd. A space marine fighting demons from Hell with shotguns, rockets, plasma rifles, and a chainsaw not grounded. DOOM’s premise is heavy metal nonsense.

@PrimalNudist @DarkEnzo0309 Eternal does this too, and it can be used to inform positioning and movement routing. Eternal places resources inside enemy interaction. That is not the absence of resource management. It is a different and arguably more active, and player centric form of resource management.

Why Classic Doom is better. Classic levels are interconnected mazes with secrets, backtracking, and real exploration that rewards curiosity and map knowledge. Doom 64 especially nails this with compact, winding, claustrophobic designs that feel like genuine nightmarish places. Modern games lean far more linear, corridor, arena fight, repeat. The combat often becomes wash rinse repeat with specific enemy priorities, glory kills, resource farming, and scripted loops. It’s fun but feels more guided gauntlet than immersive discovery. Atmosphere is the biggest gap. Original Doom and especially Doom 64 deliver raw demonic dread oppressive darkness, moody lighting, ambient tension, and that what’s around the corner horror. Doom 64 amps it up perfectly while staying true to the roots. Eternal and Dark Ages get too bright, colorful, and power-fantasy focused. Constant cutscenes, lore dumps, and over-the-top spectacle (like firing yourself out of cannons) push it into Looney Tunes territory. They lost that grounded (for hell) menace and demonic feel that made Doom special. Classic also has better tension through real resource scarcity no hand-holding systems. Every shot matters, retreats and secrets feel vital. Modern layers on so many mechanics (dash, flame belch, etc.) and bells & whistles that it can feel like it’s compensating. The simplicity in classic lets the level design and atmosphere shine without needing constant cinematic flair. Finally, the soul and longevity, Classic (and Doom 64’s unique evolution) feels pure and foundational. It spawned the genre and still thrives with endless mods/WADs. Modern entries are slick, high-production action games done well, but more closed and tied to arena-shooter systems. They evolved the formula in impressive ways, but for me they traded the tense, exploratory horror essence for flashier arcade flow. Eternal’s combat is masterful on its own terms and I get why you rank it highest. Different games at this point. Classic just captures the true Doom identity better for me tense, mysterious demon slaying with depth. Is this a good enough answer for you Mr Pretentious?

Yeah I really preferred the Alien/Aliens inspiration of the original games, tight dark claustrophobic corridors with enemies hidden around the corners and the atmosphereic lighting. I like it when you step into a room for example at the end of E1M5 Phobos Lab and it's pitch black and the enemies are only highlighted by the flickering light.

@PrimalNudist @DarkEnzo0309 Yeah man , not necessary and quite comical. Doom is better stripped back and should go back to the basics. More gore, more ammo and less bullshit. The originals were the best because they were great to play and had great character. No Novelty.

@PauloHoulden @DarkEnzo0309 Also it really delved into some total looney tunes shit, like firing himself out of a cannon in Eternal.

@PrimalNudist @DarkEnzo0309 Eternal and Dark Ages were far too linear, the fights were wash, rinse and repeat. They relied too much on cut scenes and bells and whistles which Doom never needed. The new versions were too bright & colourful too, they completely lost the originals atmosphere and demonic feel.

@PrimalNudist @HelmBreaker21 @DarkEnzo0309 But if opinions are never questioned, challenged, refined, or defended, then discussions don't produce understanding. They just produce noise. You should be open to having your perspective challenged because it refines your understanding and reinforces your reasoning.
