@MarkovitzHarry @wartranslated "Best unit disbanded after showing excellent results and leadership refused to help- next split in society." I assume this is how he mentioned it.

A Russian war blogger sums up what happened to Russia since 2019. Failed military reform, brain drain, insane inflation, global brands gone, internet shutdowns, civil liberties crushed, and a war that showed the army was nothing like promised. "Life in 2019 was better. It's normal to notice."

"The cost of replacing the first four days' worth of munitions would be $20bn-26bn. The problem, however, is more to do with scarcity than cost. America is thought to have used more than 300 Tomahawk cruise missiles in the opening days of the war, but the Pentagon had planned to buy just 57 new ones in the current fiscal year. There have been no deliveries of THAAD interceptors since 2023 and the Pentagon has not placed any new orders this year. A puny 39 interceptors are slated for delivery in 2027—six years after they were ordered." economist.com/briefing/2026/…

@glcarlstrom Lockhead can produce about 100 THAAD per year. They are increasing to about 400, which will take a few years. The US has thousands of Tomahawks.

@postoctobrist It would be funny if he(or probably a staffer who assists with the account) followed because of what was on Liz Truss's neck. It would be hilarious if it was for Femboy Hooters

@gshorebeach @AirPowerNEW1 Yes they do, but in an uncontested airspace. You don't can operate Apache's inan airspace like ukrain at the fronlines. It's an attempt from the company to avoid the Apache becomes obsolete.

The Yuma Test Center at U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground recently tested a new 30 mm Aviation Proximity Explosive, APEX, round primarily developed for firing from the AH-64 Apache helicopter. The APEX round was developed to be a frag round that would prox in front of the [unmanned aerial system] and make a frag pattern that would take out a UAS. ~ US Army 🔗👇

@wtyppod @MayaWalkWithMe Wait. She did it AGAIN? They do use the secondary steam line for the NS Savannah Kitchen? At this point @postoctobrist should just set up shop as an Oracle or Prophet. Because that's a lot of lathe touching for one person to not get the benefits of such a title.

Up through the 1930s, State Fairs across America featured head on collisions between trains. The first occurred at the Iowa State Fair in 1896 before a crowd of 20,000. This video is from the Minnesota State Fair during the Great Depression, as featured in the poster below:

Do I need a poster promoting a Thrilling Head-On Train Collision? No. Do I want it? Absolutely. Current bid of $490 on the Minnesota State Fair memorabilia auction website.

The kind of basic advice - "don't fight on difficult ground, try to understand your enemy, don't siege things if you don't have to, alliances are good' in Sunzi's Art of War makes a lot more sense if you remember it was written for the Chinese failson equivalents of Pete Hegseth.

@ThomasVLinge I am sure you could use a remotely operated camera instead of a camera man. But I would guess that is unlikely here. I mean it's not like their life is not already at risk from the whims of the gunman.

@ToughSf @TheBrianMcManus I've always wondered how visible these would be. How bright would an Orion be from the ground as it was leaving earth orbit? Or more fun how far away would we see a similar craft decelerating in relation to our solar system. Would an all sky survey pick it up fairly distant?

Orion nuclear pulse drives are powerful *despite* their design. The energy efficiency of the 10m diameter USAF design was just 0.78%, as the 1 kT pulse yield converted into 2 MN thrust at 3350s Isp. #id--Project_Orion--USAF_10_Meter_Orion--Nuclear_Pulse_Unit" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">projectrho.com/public_html/ro… Animation @TheBrianMcManus : youtu.be/EVwlTsa9oMM
